Even though my girls are too old to dress up as their favorite Disney princesses and dance around, they still like having tea parties with their dolls. And, the best part of their tea parties, is that they choose and make the pastries and tea sandwiches for their parties...and, my husband and I always get an invite! :-) So, when I saw Insight Editions released a "Disney Princesses Tea Parties" cookbook, I had to get my hands on a copy to share with them. Even though they no longer play dress up, they still enjoy watching all their favorite Disney princess movies, including Tangled, Little Mermaid and Cinderella.
My girls had so much fun flipping through this cookbook and flagging recipes they wanted to make and enjoy at their next tea party. So far, they have for us all to enjoy Flora, Fauna and Merryweather Fruit Wands, inspired by Cinderella, Opening Night Meatballs, inspired by Tiana, Nakoma Corn Cookies, inspired by Pocahontas, and a Snow White-inspired cake, the Queen Applesauce Teacake, which was so mouthwatering and moist, we ended up eating it all in one sitting.
