Our Friday Night Family Movie Night was Made More Thanks to the Addams Family Halloween Starter Kit Paramount Sent My Way! (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent promotional products and DVD from the vendor in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

(Also available in DVD format)

It isn't Halloween in our house until we watch The Addams Family and Addams Family Values movies.  And, after years of watching these DVD's, they have gotten a little worn.  I remember last year while watching The Addams Family movie it starting skipping.  So, I made a note to remind me to pick up a new copy of this movie for this year's pre-Halloween viewing.  But, before I could pick up the movie at the store, the kind folks at Paramount surprised me with a super fun Addams Family Halloween Starter Kit, which included the new The Addams Family and Addams Family Values  2-Movie Collection, as well as some goodies to go along with our family movie night...you know just a little red lipstick, a bald cap to wear so you look like Uncle Fester, some black and white face paint to look like the Addams family characters, and a few more goodies.  Check out the picture below of everything that was included in our The Addams Family Halloween Starter Kit sent by the folks at Paramount, for my family to enjoy.

The kit included the two-movie Blu-ray collection, a bald cap, black and white face paint, red lipstick and nail polish, a child or “baby” paste-on mustache and a finger trap!  Note- both films are rated PG-13 and contain “spooky” humor.

Next to receiving the 2-Movie Blu-Ray collection, my youngest daughter was so excited for the finger trap.  Whenever she sees these little toys, she grabs them, shoves her two fingers in, and then needs my help to get them out.  The same thing happened when she got hold of this one.  She was lucky I was in a good mood, or I would have left her fingers stuck in the trap....just kidding...but it did cross my mind. :-) J/K

Both of my girls giggled when they saw the bald cap and baby paste-on mustache.

They were both quick to say that they would be having fun getting Daddy to look like Uncle Fester, before having him switch into Gomez with the little mustache. :-)  My husband hadn't decided on a Halloween costume for this year, but after having the girls make him up to look like the different Addams family characters, I think he should as Gomez.  :-)  We will see!  But, in the meantime, we enjoyed having our weekly family movie night yesterday, where we did a double featuring, watching The Addams Family and Addams Family Values movies back to back.  The girls were so excited earlier in the day when I told them that we would be watching two movies, as this meant they got to stay up longer, plus they would be watching two movies which they absolutely love!  And, what perfect timing to see these movies, as we are planning to see the new animated The Addams Family movie which just hit theaters yesterday, over the weekend.  My girls have been counting down the days for this movie (see my giveaway tab as I am giving away movie swag from this new animated movie in theaters now, and enter for a chance win all the fun stuff up for grabs)

We really did have a blast last night watching these two movies, and I am so happy that we have new copies of the movies in a 2-Movie Collection, as I didn't want to sit through another skipping movie this year of The Addams Family.  If you are looking for a fun movie night recommendation, why not consider picking up this new The Addams Family + Addams Family Values 2-Movie Collection, available now on Blu-Ray and DVD from Paramount.  Then, get ready for some spooky fun with everyone's favorite family, as you count down the days until Halloween (19 to be exact...but, who is counting),  At only $12.99 for the Blu-Ray collection and $9.43 for the DVD collection, you can't go wrong with this new 2-Movie collection.  These are two movies that your family will watch time and again, around Halloween and throughout the year.  And, with the new animated movies now in theaters, families will love reliving some of their favorite scenes from these two previously released Addams Family movies, that should be in everyone's movie collection.

Here is more about these two movies, in case you have (gasp!) never seen them...

THE ADDAMS FAMILY Synopsis:

"When long-lost Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) reappears after 25 years in the Bermuda Triangle, Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) plan a celebration to wake the dead.  But Wednesday (Christina Ricci) barely has time to warm up her electric chair before Thing points out Fester's uncommonly "normal" behavior. Could this Fester be a fake, part of an evil scheme to raid the Addams fortune?

ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES Synopsis:

It's love at first fright when Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) welcome a new addition to the Addams household -- Pubert, their soft, cuddly, mustachioed baby boy. As Fester (Christopher Lloyd) falls hard for voluptuous nanny Debbie Jilinksy (Joan Cusack), Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) discover she's a black-widow murderess who plans to add Fester to her collection of dead husbands.  ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES is debuting on Blu-ray for the first time."

And, thanks again to Paramount for sending along the super fun  Addams Family Halloween Starter Kit including the 2-Movie Collection for my family to enjoy.  It made for a spook-tacular family movie night last night, complete with a visit from Uncle Fester and Gomez (AKA: My husband done up as them, thanks to my two make-up artist daughters and the supplies we were sent to enjoy) :-)
