Earlier this summer, I shared a post about how my girls got into the whole Pokemon trading and card game playing, thanks to dropping in to a nearby library where a weekly Pokemon Club meetup was taking the place. My girls were big in Pokemon before attending the meetup, as they love all the Pokemon shows and movies, and try to catch them all on their phones with their Daddy on the weekends, walking the nearby parks and downtown. So, when I was recently contacted and asked to review the new POKEMON TAG TEAM MINI TINS, along with FIRE BASEBALL Topps Cards and even MAGIC The Gathering -MAGIC COMMANDER ARCHERY SET, all from Excell Marketing, I jumped at the opportunity, as I knew my girls and husband would be all for helping me unbox each and enjoy playing and trading their new cards with friends.

My Thoughts:
I was sent a 12-pack of cards, which included one exclusive Blue Chip base parallel card, as well as 12 Topps baseball cards for 2019. My husband sat with my girls are shared this baseball trading cards pack with them. They talked about the different players and their stats, and what teams they played for. While my girls are not big into baseball, for that moment in time, just being able to spend time with their Daddy and seeing help get excited about the different player cards made it all worth while. My Thoughts:
My girls had added the new POKEMON TAG TEAM MINI TINS to the wish lists they wrote for Santa, as they loved the Garchomp & Giratina Tag Team Tin we were recently hit. As soon as they were done checking out the different cards, they couldn't wait to bring it to their Pokemon Club meetup at the library to show it off to their friends. This is one new tin series all the kids have been talking, and most of them want to collect them all, as they know two is better than one when playing the different Pokemon trading card games. My girls have tried to explain the card game to me, but I got lost after they got off track and starting talking about the different characters and what they can do. It was like Greek to me. But, I could see the passion in their girls' voices as they rambled on, and pointing out the different cards that made up the Garchomp & Giratina TAG TEAM Tin they were sent. I guess it was a must have for them, and one tin set they can't leave home without.

My Thoughts:
This, like Pokemon, is another card game that I have no idea how to play or desire to learn. But, my husband has been big into MAGIC ever since we started dating back in college, and continues to play and collect card sets to this day. So when I received the MAGIC: The Gathering COMMANDER MERCILESS RAGE set in the mail, along with the Topps Fire and Pokemon TAG TEAM Tin, I knew who would be giddy, and that he was! Just like the girls, as soon as she saw the box set, he was all smiles, like it was Christmas morning or as if he won the lottery. And, just like with the girls, he sat at the dining room table and started to go through each and every card, reading all the details about each. He tried to explain how to play the game to the girls, but they were more interested in looking at the pictures on the cards, than to hear his long spiel, that sounded like another language to me. I could tell my husband was loving his new MTG MAGIC COMMANDER ARCHERY SET, and like the girls he said he hopes to collect the remaining 3 decks in the Commander 2019 series. This was just one of the four...who knew? :-) I guess if you are big in MTG you would know!
