Creativity for Kids Crafts Kits (Review and Giveaway)

 Creativity for Kids

I was recently given the opportunity to review three Creativity for Kids Craft Kits as part of a Blog Review program.  I was sent the following kits to do with Savannah and her friends:

Feather FashionsDeluxe Glitter ArtMossy Meadows Gnome Garden
These kits couldn't have come at a better time as we were experiencing a washed out weekend and needed fun activities to keep Savannah and her friends who had come to visit busy and entertained.  I pulled out the Feather Fashions craft kit, as I thought it would be fun for them to create a feathery hair piece that they could model and take home with them.

Creativity for Kids provides kids with experiences that stimulate and encourage their natural creativity.  Their open-ended products offer fun-filled opportunities for children to create, pretend explore and learn.  What I loved most about these kits was that it included everything, right down to the craft glue.  So, as a busy mom, I didn't have to worry about having to run to the craft store (which isn't close by) to pick up craft supplies to complete the project.

As I was taking everything out of the box and laying them on the table, I couldn't believe how much stuff was included. There were 40+ feathers, two headbands, hair clips, fabric flowers, rhinestones, adhesive and elastic felt backers, glitter glue, elastic hair bands, craft string and a set of instructions with ideas, making for a fun and creative afternoon of arts and crafts.  Some of the older girls helped the younger ones with the gluing, so that I could supervise and lend a hand where needed.  This kit alone kept the girls busy for a couple of hours, as they first chose their feathers, arranged them to their liking, and then glued everything into place.  When as was said and done, the girls had beautiful handcrafted hair pieces that they modeled for me and their moms when they came to pick them up.  Some of the girls were excited to wear their creations to school, while others didn't want to take them off.

As I watched the girls leave with their moms, a majority of them kept asking their mothers if they could get a Feather Fashions kit to make more feathery, blinged out hair accessories.  Hopefully, I didn't open Pandora's Box, with kids begging their parents for these until they get them.  But, I can see why they would want a kit of their own, as I, too, was impressed with the quality and assortment of supplies that were included in this kit.  The girls were left to create beautiful and very fashionable hair pieces, from bright and fun feathers, rhinestones and flowers.  I could see this and other Fashion kits from Creativity for Kids making for a great slumber party activity or birthday party activity for girls.  Moms wouldn't have to worry about putting together supplies and creating instructional sheets.  Everything one needs to create is included in these fun-filled craft kits.

My husband surprised Savannah the other day by having an impromptu Daddy and Me afternoon, where he did the Gnome Garden craft with her.  My husband is more of a green thumb than me, and wanted to add this cute decoration to the house plants we have in the bay window.  He thought Savannah would get a kick out of seeing the three little Gnomes, which are included in the kit, watching over his flowers while he is at work.  Savannah had a great time spending quality time with her Daddy, and working with him to create a unique and playful Gnome Garden.  With over 40+ pieces, including the magical Gnomes and wheat grass seed, potting soil and a cute little Gnome house, this arts and craft session lasted over 2 hours.  Even though we are still waiting for the wheat grass to grow, Savannah makes a point to check in on her magical garden daily and says "Hi" to each of the Gnomes, which she has named, Mickey, Jessie and Buzz. :-)

I am saving the Deluxe Glitter Art kit for this upcoming weekend, when my parents are coming to visit.  I promised Savannah that her Nana and I would spend the afternoon with her creating glittery art, while enjoying time together.  I can't wait, as I remember how much fun I used to have a child doing arts and crafts projects with my mother.  Now, I can do them with my girls, and have my mother participate.  We will be decorating trinket boxes, embellishing greeting cards, gift tags and more.  I am getting excited just thinking about it.  Why can't Saturday get here already. :-)
