Rudi's Organic Bakery -- Making Bread Nutritious and Delicious (Review)

I am always looking for healthy products to feed my family.  And, now that Savannah is being introduced to table foods, I am more cautious and selective on items I pick up at the market.  Gone are the days that I skimp on quality because of a deal, as usually the products that are on sale are not as healthy as other brands.  My husband is a health nut when it comes to bread.  He either asks for multigrain, wheat or high in fiber breads.  I, on the other hand, like flavored breads, like cinnamon raisin, as  breakfast staple.  Because of this, I end up buying his bread at one market, while my brand is offered at another store.  Don't get me started on the gas I spend driving between the two grocery stores.  But, on a recent trip to Whole Foods to look for frozen raviolis and microwave meals for Savannah, I stumbled across Rudi's Organic Bakery breads.  I was excited, as I had been looking for this brand for the past few weeks, after been sent coupons to try out and review this bread.

Rudi's Organic Bakery offers the following selection of organic breads:

Rudi’s Organic bread is baked with a little flour power and a lot of love. It’s made with all good stuff you can pronounce, like certified organic ingredients, and no yucky stuff like artificial chemicals, preservatives, and dangerous pesticides. And, since you know what’s in your dough, you that all ingredients are non-genetically modified.

I ended up picking up their cinnamon raisin bread and to try.  Like I said, I usually only eat bread in the AM, if it is flavored.  I will use other types of breads for making deli sandwiches, but prefer wraps for this.  So, this past Monday, I woke up looking forward to trying out the new cinnamon raisin bread I picked up, while my husband make toast with peanut butter, with his bread of choice, Multigrain Oat

Shortly after my husband took his first bite of this bread, he couldn't stop raving about how great it tasted.  He kept asking me to try a bite.  I knew he wouldn't stop asking until I did, so I took a bite.  Wow, I loved the flavor in this bread.  When it came time to try out my bread, I, too, was pleased with how good it tasted.  It didn't taste heavy and sugary like other breads I had tried previously.  And, when I was done eating, I didn't feel guilty.  At only 15 grams of whole grains per slice, this bread is great for Breakfast, lunch, dinner or even dessert. Each slice of Rudi's Organic Bakery Cinnamon Raisin bread contained plump raisins and savory sunflower seed, which made for a tasty and healthy combination.  And, with the right amount of cinnamon added in, it made for a delicious start to the morning!

I am so happy to have found Rudi's Organic Bakery products at Whole Foods, and can't wait to try out some of their other products, including their new bagel and sandwich flatz.  If you haven't hear about or tried Rudi's Organic Bakery products, you are missing head.  Head to your local Whole Foods, or use their online store locator, to find a retailer near you.  You, too, will be hooked on this brand, after just one bite!
