For more than 75 years, Lotus Bakeries has been baking Europe’s favorite cookies and sweets, developing a global following from coffee-drinkers and travelers alike. Lotus Bakeries’ signature Biscoff cookie, derived from “bis”cuit and “coff”ee, is sweet but not overly sugary, with a crisp, caramelized taste that perfectly complements coffee – perfect for adults (kids too!).

Unlike any other cookie, Lotus Bakeries popularity ‘soared’ when, in 1984, Delta Airlines distributed Biscoff cookies to its passengers who quickly began asking where they could purchase them.  Since then, Biscoff cookies have made air travel a little sweeter on nearly every domestic airline and most international carriers, and are sold in stores, via catalog and online in the U.S. at

Introduced to US retailers in spring 2011, Biscoff Cookies are now available in spreadable form – Biscoff Spread. A great topping for toast and waffles or as an ingredient in your favorite recipe, Biscoff Spread is a nut-free, all-natural spread containing only 88 calories per serving.

My Thoughts:

I was sent a sample tote to see up-close how cute these Biscoff cookie filled reusable totes are, and how they would make for great gifts this holiday season.  Back in October I reviewed the Biscoff Spread from Lotus Bakeries.  But, I had never tried the Biscoff cookies until I received this sample.  If you haven't tried Biscoff cookies, you have been missing out.  They crisp cookies, made with all-natural ingredients offers a unique caramel flavor.  It is not overly sweet like some cookies, so you don't feel bad eating more than one.  And, it is great to know that each cookie contains fewer than 37 calories.  Not only is the Biscoff cookie a delectable treat to savor, dipped in a hot cup of coffee or with a tall glass of cold milk, it is also good for you.

These gift totes will make for great holiday gifts for the landscaper, postal carrier, teacher, etc.  I will definitely be picking up a few gift sets to have on hand for those unexpected gifts, as well as for my husband's gift swap at work.  And, the price is right at only $16.95 for a 3-pack!

Disclosure:  I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
