Holiday Gift Giving Guide–Enstrom Almond Toffee (Review and Giveaway)

Closed.  And, the winner is Donna J.  She would ask Santa for a years worth of housekeeping and lawn care.  Santa: I hope you are listening!!!

What a way to start off my 2011 Holiday Gift Giving Guide, than will tasty treats!  I was recently sent a pound of Enstrom’s Famous Almond Toffee to sample and write up.  Yes, I know what you are saying, “Why do I have such a tough job?” Smile  Having never sampled Enstrom Toffee before, I didn’t know what to expect.  I couldn’t believe how good the almond toffee looked in the gift box sent to me.  It looked too good to eat.  But, I was having a bunch of girlfriends over to celebrate the birth of our second daughter, Arabella, who arrived just days ago on 11/10, and thought what a great treat to offer them upon arrival.  We were having a “Girl’s Night In” with pampering mani/pedis, while watching chick flicks, while talking about gifts that we wanted to get the family.  This has become a tradition since moving to CT, and each year we all look forward to the tasty treats each person brings.  No one expected almond toffee, as I usually serve up tiramisu or cannolis.  I ended up taking the almond toffee out of the box and placing the pieces in a candy dish on the buffet table.  As the women strolled by the table, everyone kept talking about how good the toffee looked, and how it looked better than other toffee they had spent top dollar on at candy stores in years past.  I thought I was the only one who hadn’t heard or sampled Enstrom almond toffee before, but none of my friends had either, so we would be sharing in the experience of tasting and commenting on this tasty treat.

We each took a piece and took a bite.  Wow!!! The toffee tasted so fresh and was pleasing to the palette.  And, don’t get me started on the almonds.  They were WHOLE almonds and so crunchy.  The other first bite was amazing for each of us.  And, it only took a few more bites to consume the almond toffee we each took to sample.  While doing on mani and pedis, we couldn’t stop eating the almond toffee from Enstrom.  It was so addicting and so good!  By the time there was only one piece left, only 20 minutes had passed.  I thought there would have been a fight to see who got the last piece, but because the almond toffee pieces were so big, we were able to break it into pieces, so each could savor the last piece.  This piece was just as good as the first!

So, as you can see, it only took 20 minutes and 6 women to each an entire 1 lb. box of Enstrom Almond Toffee.  And, the funny thing is that 3 of the ladies usually don’t like toffee, but couldn’t stop eating and raving about the toffee flavor.  Enstrom has a new group of followers thanks in part to their famous almond toffee.  Now, I can see why so many people love Enstrom and their toffee.  I will definitely be bookmarking this site and ordering again soon for the holidays, as well as for Valentine’s Day for my sweetie.
