Brainy Baby’s Shapes and Colors Collection Learning Kit (Review and Giveaway)

My Thoughts:
I have been using this program for the past month with Savannah, and have to say it does work.  Last October, I had the opportunity to review another one of the Brainy Baby Learning Kits, 123 Counting Collection, and also saw results.  Through the use of a 45 minute DVD, 16 page board book and 36 piece flashcard set, you can begin introducing your children (ages 1-4) to shapes and colors.  Savannah loves the DVD, and can tell that she is actually watching the content and trying to process it. And, being only 45 minutes, it was long enough to provide enough learning content, while not boring her or having her walk away, like other learning DVDs have in the past.  She stayed engaged during the entire DVD. 
Like I said above, I have used other learning kits, but either she walks away from the video or simply dances to the catchy music, really not comprehending the learning aspect of the DVD.  What I love about the Brainy Baby learning kits, is that is also comes with flashcards, which help enforce what she learned by watching the DVD.  On a weekly basis, I have been sitting down with Savannah to watch the Shapes and Colors DVD, and when she is done with the DVD, we use the flashcard set and talk about the shapes and numbers on each card.  Little by little, she is pointing the right shapes and colors when I ask her to point to it.  Prior to receiving this kit, I would ask Savannah to point to a color or shape, and she would just guess (usually wrong). Now, I can tell she is actually learning and finding it fun to point to colors and shapes.  What a truly amazing product line.

My Thoughts:
I was sent both of the bears above to try out with my daughter.  She especially loved the night light feature and would bring both bears to bed with her for naps and when she went down for the night.  And, as a parent, I loved how this night light feature would automatically shut off at 3 minutes, so I didn’t have to worry about tip toeing in to shut of the bears and waking her.
These bears are so cute.  Yes, they look cute in the photos above, but when you actually have them in your hands, they are so cuddly and fun to paly with.  My daughter took to Summer Lightly and would carry her around wherever she went.  She would talk to her and love the interaction she would have with the bear.  I found the bear-to-bear interaction extremely fun.  I think this is the best part about these Glowberry Bears. 

When you squeeze the left paw of each bear, they will talk back and forth to one another.  My daughter was amazed at this feature.  And, when you don’t have the two bears together, the bear will just talk with your child, showing off their own voice and personality.
And, when you want the night light to turn on, simply squeeze the right paw for 3 minutes lighted fun.
If you child loves stuffed animals, especially those that talk and interact with you, then they will love the Glowberry Bears.  Buy one or buy them both for endless fun.  Your child will love cuddling with each bear, as does my daughter.
