Did you know that you can make Crème brûlée in the crock pot?  I had no idea until I was sent the "Foolproof Slow Cooker" cookbook by Rebecca Woods to review, from the folks at Hardie Grant Publishing, an imprint of Quadrille Publishing.

This is just one of 60 crock pot recipes that will delight your family and make serving up a hot home-coocked meal a breeze.  If you love using your crock pot/slow cooker to make meals for your family while you are out at work all day, or on the go with the kids, then you will definitely want to check out this cookbook.  I love how this cookbook has simple and clear instructions, along with tips to make the most use out of your crockpot.

With the cold winter months creeping in, I find myself using our crockpot more and more often as it is easier to prep ingredients in the AM and then set the crockpot on low for 6-8 hours and let it do its things, while I go about my day homeschooling the girls, or running errands with them.  By the time dinner rolls around, all I have to whip a side salad, warm some bread if we are having soup or chili, or make rice or pasta to put the food over.  Sometimes I get lucky and I don't need to prep any sides as they cook along with the protein, and I just have serve up the mouthwatering meal for my family to enjoy.

The "Foolproof Slow Cooker" has so many great recipes for stews, meat, poultry, fish, grains and even sweets. This is where I found out how to cook up Crème brûlée in my crockpot -- it was so easy and oh so delicious.  I made it the first time, and now my family can't stop asking me to make it again. Shh, don't tell them the crockpot actually did all the work. :-)  If you are gifting someone a crockpot this holiday season, why not pick up this cookbook and pair it with their gift. This cookbook offers up so many tasty recipes even beginner crockpot users can make.

Then, be ready to knock the socks of your family as they sit down and enjoy what you made...I mean the crockpot made.

My house has been smelling amazing with each and every recipe I make from this cookbook, and I have so many more flagged to make soon.  You can learn more about this slow cooker/crockpot cookbook here: https://www.hardiegrant.com/uk/publishing/bookfinder/book/foolproof-slow-cooker-by-rebecca-woods/9781787138995.
