We are coming up on almost 50 years since Hello Kitty was originally created and introduced to the public. Boy do I feel old! This super cute white cat with her signature red bow first released with a vinyl coin purse in 1976, and then as the years went on, it gained more and more popularity. I remember back in the 90's, Hello Kitty was all the rage, and tweens/teens and even adults were going crazy trying to get their hands on anything and everything Hello Kitty. I had plush toys, hair accessories, plastic toys, and rocked Hello Kitty clothes during this time. Oh, how I wish I hung onto some of the plush toys I had back then as not only would they be valuable today, but I could pass them down to my two girls, who are obsessed with Hello Kitty. Ever since my oldest was born, she was sporting Hello Kitty clothing. Whenever I saw jackets, shirts, shoes or socks with Hello Kitty on it, I had to pick it up, not just for her to wear, but because come on, it was Hello Kitty. :-) Now, flash forward to 2022 and Hello Kitty continues to put a smile on kids and adult's faces, and collecting anything and everything Hello Kitty is still a big deal. I know as my girls have shelves with Hello Kitty plush, plastic toys, etc.
My girls were asking Santa for Hello Kitty this year, like they always do. So, I took to the Internet to see if I could find some unique gifts for them. That is when I stumbled upon the Kidrobot website. I am surprised I had never heard about this website store as they have tons of Hello Kitty stuff, from pins to plush to vinyl figures and even patches. If you love Hello Kitty you will go crazy browsing the amazing selection of all things Hello Kitty from Kidrobot. I found myself wanting to get everything they offered, as their product offering was nothing like I have found in local comic book and retail stores, where we usually grab Hello Kitty stuff. I had to resists filling my cart with everything and breaking the bank, but in the end, I did grab some super cute plush toys, keychains and pins for the girls, and pre-ordered the patches for their backpacks. I know once they wake on Christmas morning and start unwrapping their Hello Kitty loot from Kidrobot, they will be all smiles, just like I was when I first started to browse their website.
In addition to putting in an order with Kidrobot, they also graciously sent along their new Hello Kitty® Reindeer 13" Interactive Plush to review and feature in my holiday gift guide.
I will not lie, when this plush first arrived, I was hoping to keep it for myself, as it was just so stinking cute. I liked how you could pull the reindeer hood off Hello Kitty, and loved how her signature red bow glistened on her head.
But, as soon as my two girls saw this adorable 13" Hello Kitty plush, they were asking who it was for. While they agreed to share it by taking turns snuggling with it every other night, I ended up buying another 2 -- one for my other daughter, and one for me -- come on, they can't have all the fun! We are waiting on the two extra Hello Kitty® Reindeer 13" Interactive Plush to arrive, so we each have one. But, for now, we are all taking turns loving on this cute plush, that is a must have for Hello Kitty fans young and old. It is the perfect size to cuddle with, as well as stands if you want to display on a shelf with your other Hello Kitty memorabilia.
