Pressed For Time, But Craving Healthy Home-Baked Style Cookies -- Look No Further Than Maxine's Heavenly -- Now Available in Season Flavors and Gift Boxes, Too! (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

A few months ago I was introduced to Maxine's Heavenly cookies and was sent samples for my family and I to try.  We had a fun taste tasting night with the four flavors I was sent to review -- Cinnamon Speculoos Crunch, Chocolate Chocolate Chunk Cookies, Chocolate Chip and Cinnamon Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.  The Cinnamon and Chocolate Chip cookies were crispy cookies, while the Chocolate Chunk and Cinnamon Oatmeal Raisin cookies were super soft bake.  Before I get into what we thought of these cookies, I wanted to share more about the Maxine's Heavenly brand, and why these cookies were like nothing we have ever tried before, and an instant favorite in our house, thus putting this brand on our subscribe and save monthly deliveries with Amazon, as we can't live without them, and make sure to have a few boxes on hand in the pantry to snack on and to share with family and friends who come to visit.

About Maxine's Heavenly:

"We set out to create not only the healthiest cookies you can buy, but the most delicious cookies you could buy as well. It was imperative to us that our cookies taste like mom’s homemade, even when we were swapping in healthier ingredients. We think Maxine’s Heavenly cookies are the best cookies outside of your own kitchen.

We started with Maxine’s beloved recipe, and substituted ingredients one by one, taking out all the processed flours and sugars, gluten, animal products and, with them, all the empty calories.

We replaced them each with better-for-you alternatives that preserved that special taste while making the cookie nutrient-rich and guilt-free.  With Maxine’s Heavenly, you can feel good about what you're eating, and make your own special moments with those that bring you joy and comfort in life."

Like I mentioned above, the kind folks at Maxine's Heavenly sent along four of their cookies flavors for my family to try, and we had so much fun sampling them.  I am usually a soft baked cookie fan, but found myself gravitating towards to the two crispy cookies from the brand.  And, my husband, who is not big into treats, as he doesn't like too much sugar or sweetness, really liked the cookies, especially with them only containing 5-9% sugars. The sugar used is healthier than you would get if you baked them yourself, as this brand uses coconut sugar, along with oats and other healthy ingredients.

At first my girls were reluctant to try this new brand of cookies, as they saw that they were healthy and didn't think they would taste good.  They think that if it doesn't contain sugar or sweeteners that it will be dry and lacking flavor.  But, after seeing my husband and I really enjoying the cookies, and reaching for another, they both ran over to take part in the taste testing before the cookies were all gone.  And, as soon as they took their first bite, they too, were hooked and loved the four cookie varieties.

I asked everyone what their favorite flavor of the four that were sent, but just like me, it was hard for them to choose, as they said they liked them all.  My girls did say they liked the soft cookies, as they soaked up a lot more milk than the crispy ones, when we tried them with a cold glass of milk.

My husband has always been a fan of oatmeal raisin cookies, and thoroughly enjoyed these cookies...but, he also said the chocolate chunk were also up there, as they were jam packed with chocolate chunk pieces and full of flavor.

We finished off the four boxes in one sitting, which usually never happens.  And, once they were done, we were looking on the Maxine's Heavenly website to check out the other flavors available, and to see where we could pick up more boxes, to get our fix. I was happy to see they were sold on Amazon, and quickly logged into our account and ordered more of the flavors we were sent, along with their peanut butter and mint chocolate chunk.  Now whenever we have friends and family over, I make a point to put a plate of this cookie brand out for all to enjoy, as I know there will be no issues with food allergies, thanks to them being gluten free and plant based, along with non GMO.

Just in time for the holidays, you can now send boxes of Maxine's Heavenly to family and friends who are foodies, or just love a good cookie to dip with their hot chocolate or cup of cold milk at the end of the day.

They have some fun holiday flavors available -- Pumpkin Spice Cookies, Gingerbread Cookies, Chocolate Peppermint Candy Cane Cookies & Cinnamon Crunch Cookies -- which as you can see below come in a fun gift box, so no need to wrap! :-)
