Blue’s Big City Adventure! Begins Streaming Tomorrow on Paramount + (Review) #BlueYorkCity #ParamountPlus

Disclosure: I was sent a screener of the movie from Paramount + and Team Click, to help facilitate my review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Fans young and old of the hit animated series, Blue's Clues, will want to tune in tomorrow and check out the new animated movie, Blue’s Big City Adventure!, streaming exclusively on Paramount +.  My family and I had the opportunity to screen this movie yesterday, and I have to say, I teared up a little when I saw Steve and Joe return to the screen and interact with Josh.  I used to love seeing Steve Burns interact with Blue back in the day, and was saddened when he was replaced by Joe, and then Josh. I know actors age out of their characters, but there was something about Steve that just fit when you watched Blue's Clues back in the day. I remember getting excited with the kids I babysat every time this show came home, and we helped Steve and Blue find clues and solve problems/mysteries.  I know I am not alone feeling sentimental about Steve, as so many other adult fans of the show took to social media last year year when Steve reappeared on Twitter with a heartfelt message to fans addressing his abrupt exit from the show in 2022, as part of the 25th anniversary. So, when I heard earlier this year that Steve would be back in some way for the new film which brought Josh and Blue to New Year, I was so excited, and counted down the days for this movie's release. Even my two girls, who grew up watching Josh and Blue on television were excited for the full-length film.

The screener couldn't have come at a better time as my youngest has been sick with the flu for over a week now, and was getting bored watching the same old shows and movies on television, as she rested on the couch. I surprised her and the family with an impromptu family movie night Wednesday instead of our usual Friday, and that really perked up her spirits. We had been talking all week about how our movie for Friday would be Blue’s Big City Adventure on Paramount +.  They had no idea I was sent a screener to view the movie earlier than that.  So, as we settled in to watch the movie, we eagerly awaited seeing Steve and Josh appear on the screen.  Don't worry, I will not give away their roles in the film and when they will appear.  What I will say, though, is that it was nice to see the whole Blue's Clue gang back together again, and seeing Steve and Joe there to try and help Josh, along with the help of Mr. Pepper and friends from Storybook Land.

This movie was full of catchy song and dance. And, while my girls are not big on musicals, they really enjoyed all the singing in this movie, especially when they sang the theme songs and songs from the hit show.  There was never a dull moment with the film.  When the movie ended, we were sad it was over.  Be sure to sit until after the credits roll as there is a special addition to the end with Josh that you will want to see.  I am not sure if there will be another full length movie like this one.  But, if they decide to make another one, we will definitely be checking it out.  In the meantime, we are happy that we can watch this movie over and over again on Paramount +.  I will definitely be picking up this movie when it arrives to DVD, so that we will always have this movie to watch, when we want to get our Blue's Clues fix.

If you are looking for a fun family-friendly movie to watch with your whole family this upcoming Friday or over the weekend, I highly recommend you check out Blue’s Big City Adventure, streaming on Paramount + starting tomorrow.  We loved the movie, and I know you and your family will, too!
