The kind folks at Ridley's Games sent along these two puzzles for my family to review. My oldest daughter, who is a huge animal lover, was super excited to finish off a holiday-themed puzzle we had been working on, so she could start on these two.

She loves cats, and I think she will become a cat lady when she gets older, as she wants a house full of them. :-)  She can't have any right now as my youngest daughter is allergic, as is my mother -- so, unless we found a Siamese or other non-allergenic cat, it wouldn't be fair to rescue one and bring home.  But, that doesn't mean she can't fill her room with cat memorabilia, wear all things cats and dogs, and do fun things like make puzzles featuring different breeds of these playful cats.

Both of these Ridley's Games puzzles contain 1000 pieces, and come in a cardboard type storage tube for easy storing of loose pieces while you are working on the puzzle, or to store once done and you want to put away for another time.

Once the puzzles are put together they would make for great wall art (would fit a standard 22"x28" frame).

Kids and adults will have fun reading all about the different traits of the cat and dog breeds featured in these two puzzles.  My youngest, even though she can't have a cat, ended up circling a few of her favorites on the storage tube.  We had so much fun making these two puzzles from Ridley's Puzzles, and imprint of Chronicle Books, and I ended up picking up a few more of these puzzles to gift to family and friends who are also dog and cat lovers. And, we added them both to a gift basket we put together for a local animal shelter, to help them raise funds through a holiday raffle gift basket social they were having.  I found out afterwards, that our basket garnered the most tickets, and everyone wanted to win it for the two puzzles. They thought they were so neat featuring common and unique dog and cat breeds, and with the upcoming snowy winter months, puzzles would definitely come in handy for animal lovers, to keep busy as they watch the snow fall outside.

There is still time to order these from the Ridley's Games website, as well as from Amazon, and get in time for gift giving this holiday season.  Come on, who doesn't love a good puzzle?! And, these are not your average puzzle.  Once completed they would make great wall art to admire for years to come. :-)  And, if cats and dogs aren't your things, or you are looking for something to match the tastes of that hard to shop for person on your holiday shopping list, be sure to check out the other fun puzzles from Ridley's Games.  These are just a handful of some of their new releases, which would make for great gift ideas for kids and adults....
