Both of my girls love animals and being out in nature. So, we take full opportunity of homeschooling and being able to be outside as much as possible, especially when the weather is so nice. I still can't believe this past week we were in the mid to high 70's in October...that is crazy!  Just this weather alone makes you want to take steps to protect our planet as climate change is the reason the weather has been especially crazy this past year -- with lots of rain, storms and then crazy temps like we experienced this past week.  And,when we aren't doing our part to save the planet, we also need to take steps to protect the animals who also call Earth their home, too.

"The Wild World Handbook: Creatures" is the perfect guidebook for kids that can show them how with their help, we can protect Earth's animals.  Through hands on STEM activities, interesting facts and inspiring stories, kids will be introduced to variety of animals from around the world, that need our help in protecting their animal population, as well as their habitats. This books is really well put together and a must have for families looking to make a difference in the world.  Nature lovers, climate activists, and conservationists young and old can team up to make little changes that will help in the long run protect these amazing animals.  Get ready to be blown away with the awe inspiring illustrations that fill the pages of this environmental stewardship handbook, while gaining practical tools and skills to help make a difference now and for the future.

My girls and I really enjoyed this book, and have been using it as part of our homeschooling this year.  They especially like the hands on STEM activities, like building a bat house making a squirrel nest house, and even planting trees and shrubs.  They are seeing how with their help, they can help protect the environment and the animals who call Earth their home.
