Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  Do you celebrate the holiday with your kids?  In addition to doing a dinner -- either at home after the girls go to bed, or if we are lucky and get family to watch the girls to dine out, my husband and I also include our girls in our Valentine's Day celebrating, as they were a result of love we have for each other, and the best thing that happened to us after getting married.  We like to give the girls a few small gifts to remind them how much they are loved, and how important they are to us and the reason why we became a family in the first place. In addition to a few small gifts, I also like to gift my girls a couple new books to read and enjoy.  Even though my girls are a 8.5 and almost ten, they have seen previews for the Netflix original movie, P.S. I Still Love You, which is the sequel to the popular NY Times bestselling To All the Boys I've Loved Before.  My girls are all about YA contemporary romances and asked for this book after seeing it in the bookstore last month.  I wanted to read it first to make sure it was appropriate for them, and to know what they were reading.

Thanks to the kind folks at Simn & Schuster, they sent along a copy of the book for me to read. I found myself not being able to put this book down, it was that good!  I hadn't read the NY Times bestseller book prior to reading this book, and other saw the Netflix trailer for the movie releasing this month based on the book.  It wasn't until I started to read the book that I found myself seeing whey my girls were eager to see the Netflix movie, and wanting to read the book to compare the two.  I don't want to spoil anything, as I know there are a lot of people waiting to see the Netflix movie. But, what I will say is that after I read this book, I ended up picking up the book, "To All the Boys I've Loved Before to read, and loved that, too!

I ended up picking up another copy of the P.S. I Still Love You book and  will be doing a book club or sorts with my girls, where we will read this book together, discuss it, and then watch the movie once it arrives to Netflix and compare the two.  If you tween/teens love YA contemporary romances, then I highly recommend this book, which is now available and will pair well with the upcoming Netflix movie. You could do a girls' night in movie with your daughters with popcorn and sweets, maybe even a spa night with mani's and pedi's, and girl talk, as you celebrate Valentine's Day and the release of this highly anticipated Netflix original movie.
