Earlier today I shared a review of the new 2019 Super Mario Advent Calendar from JAKKS Pacific, that fans will want to help them count down to Santa's arrival. In my post, I shared how I wasn't going to let my youngest daughter open the calendar as I wanted her to be surprised and start the countdown on Dec. 1st. She did, however, see photos of some of the 2.5 inch figures that are included in the advent 17 in total, with an additional 7 accessories) all of which can be played with using the fun pop-up environment that makes up part of the advent calendar packaging. My daughter, who is a huge Super Mario fan, thanks to her Daddy who grew up playing this iconic Nintendo game and couldn't wait until they were older to introduce them to the video game, and have someone to play it with, really wanted something Super Mario related to play with. We have only had this for a short time, but it already has a spot in our living room, for my girls to pull it out and set up and play. And, when my husband gets home from work, my youngest daughter will pull it out and get it set up so that they can play with it together.

My daughter has a bin of Super Mario figures she has been collecting thanks to the blind bag packages she has been using her allowance to buy at the store. And, last Christmas Santa brought her some Super Mario figures for her to go with the JAKKS Pacific Super Mario Dungeon Diorama and Mario Acorn Plains she had gotten for her birthday. These were tiny compared to this deluxe Bowser's castle play set. And, they didn't have sound, which I think make this new Super Mario play set even more fun to play and interact with.
Like I said, my girls love playing with this play set on their own, as well as with their Daddy. They will come up with their own story lines and then move the characters throughout the castle. Usually Princess Peach is stranded on the top floor, and Mario and Luigi have to work together to get help save her, while jumping over spinning fireballs, or escaping the trap door floor. I love seeing my girls really getting into the play set and using their imaginations to come up with their own unique story lines to play out. They get so excited, as if they were playing the real video game, when Mario and Luigi reach the top and save Princess Peach. They always drop the movable cage on Bowser to trap him, and whisk Princess Peach to safety -- usually to their other Super Mario play sets they have set up near the deluxe Bowser's castle playset.
I could go on and on about how much fun the deluxe Bowser's castle playset is from JAKKS Pacific. But, if your child is big into Super Mario and has other JAKKS Pacific Super Mario toys, then you already know how well made these toys are, including the large figures, and how the toys keep your kids engaged for hours, and are one of the few toys they will not get tired of playing with. My girls love their new deluxe Bowser's castle playset and are hoping Santa surprises them with other fun Super Mario JAKKS Pacific toys to add to their growing collection, to make their story lines and play that much more interesting. But, in the meantime, they are loving their new deluxe Bowser's castle playset, especially when their Daddy gets down on the living room floor to play with them.
