A new era of DC Super Hero Girls begins in DC Super Hero Girls: At Metropolis High!

Do you have a DC Super Hero Girls fan in your life?  If you do, then you will want to get your hands on the upcoming DC Zoom's New Middle Grade Graphic Novel, arriving in stores on October 15th.  My girls and I got an advance sneak peek of this graphic novel, and within a half hour both of my girls had read through the advance copy, and wanted more DC SUPER HERO GIRLS graphic novels to read, as they loved it!  At the start of summer the girls got to read Ridley Pearson's SUPER SONS Book 1, which is another DC ZOOM graphic novel release. Ever since then, they have been hooked on DC graphic novels, and have wanted to get their hands on more to read, and start a graphic novel collection to read time and again, and pass around to their friends who are also fans of DC super heroes.

I was so excited when my youngest got hooked on reading this summer, as she was a reluctant reader, and thought reading was a chore. But, after reading the SUPER SONS graphic novel from DC Zoom, it was like spark was ignited and she was off and running, snatching up all different graphic novels from the library and book stores to read cover to cover.  Out of all the graphic novels she read, she always found herself drifting back to the DC Zoom ones, as they featured her favorite DC super heroes.  And, now with the upcoming release of the DC Super Hero Girls graphic novel, which is based on the new animated, my girls couldn't wait to read it and talk about their favorite parts.

After the girls were done reading this book, I asked the to share their favorite parts. As I listened to them talk, I could hear in their voices the excitement and love they had for this graphic novel series, and how the book had positive themes like friendship, team work and girl power.  It was hard for my girls to narrow down their favorite parts, as they both agreed everything that happened in this thrilling adventure filled graphic novel was great.  I ended up reading the book to see why they loved it so much, and after the first few pages, I could see why  Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Bumblebee, and Zatanna all struggle to live a double life.  They are in high school, but also crime fighting super heroes the next.  I was hooked like my girls, and can't wait to read more in this hopefully long-lived graphic novel series. As my girls and I wait for another book in the series to release, we will tune in and watch the new DC Super Hero Girls animated series, which currently airs on Cartoon Network.

With the holidays fast approaching, this graphic novel would make for a great stocking stuffer idea, or why not pick up a handful of graphic novels available from DC Zoom to start your kids with a wonderful DC Super Hero graphic novel collection.  You can learn more about this upcoming (10/15) release and other graphic novels from DC Zoom by visiting https://www.dccomics.com/.

About DC SUPER HERO GIRLS: AT METROPOLIS HIGH:

"A new era of DC Super Hero Girls begins in DC Super Hero Girls: At Metropolis High! When Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Bumblebee, and Zatanna are continually late to class because of their crime-fighting, they are sentenced to finding an after-school club for a whole week ... or else they'll be suspended!

But finding a club is not as easy as it looks, and when the girls keep finding themselves kicked out of the clubs they like, they must think outside of the box and go outside their comfort zones to avoid suspension. Just when they thought secret identities and balancing school with super-heroics had enough challenges!

DC Super Hero Girls: At Metropolis High continues to develop the relationships forged throughout the beloved DC Super Hero Girls series. This story is perfect for ages 6-10 and a great entry point into the DC Universe and graphic novels."
