It is that time again, when I share some of the new chocolates added to the ever popular R.M. Palmer Halloween line up.  With so many different Halloween candy and chocolates to choose from, I find that keeping with my tried and true brands is best, as I hate feeling overwhelmed with deciding between different flavors or brands, only to be disappointed when I get home and sample them.  So, when it comes to holiday chocolates, R.M. Palmer Company has been my go-to for seasonal candy.  I have been blogging since 2007, and since 2007, I have shared all about R.M. Palmer's new candy additions to their seasonal line ups, and it seems with each passing year, their new product additions get even better.  And, they don't stray away from retiring customer favorites like other chocolate companies.  Instead, fans of R.M. Palmer Company know that when say Halloween or even Christmas roll around, that they can expect to find their favorite chocolates lining store candy shelves.  But, you don't want to wait to pick up your favorites, as they usually fly off the shelves. :-)

Thanks to the kind folks at R.M. Palmer Company, they sent me a box of their Halloween chocolates -- some new and some of their annual releases, for my family to enjoy.

"Don’t let your candy dish go empty this Halloween with this delicious mix of candy favorites. Mix includes foil wrapped Double Crisp® Goog-ly Eyes, Monsters and Pumpkin Patch candies. 66 ounces. Also available in bulk."

"Keep an eye on these creepy eyeballs this Halloween. This bag features a mix of bite-sized, chocolaty coated Peepers with a creamy soft caramel or peanut butter center or fudge filling. Available in a 20 ounce or 38 ounce bag."

I have to admit, out of all the different samples sent my way at the holidays, I am always on the lookout for a box from R.M. Palmer Company, as I am a huge chocolate lover, and know I can satisfy my sweet tooth with their melt in your mouth chocolate.

Their chocolate is so smooth and creamy that you have to smack your lips before licking them, in hopes of finding some melted chocolate left to devour. :-)

Trick or Treat Mix

Out of all the chocolate brands this is one I have to make sure I stock up on favorites when I see them in the stores, to add to my "me time" stash door.  My girls, though, are getting older and savvy, and have found where I have stashed my candy supply.  I know this as I find empty wrappers in the drawer or in my girls' wastebaskets in their rooms.  I guess they aren't as sneaky as they think, as they can't hide the evidence yet. :-)  But, how can I blame them for trying to hunt down my R.M. Palmer Company chocolate stash, as I know this chocolate is so good, and hard to resist.  I am just happy that Christmas follows Halloween and usually stores start stocking their candy aisle shelves right after they clear out the Halloween candy, so that I can stock up early, to get me through the cold, winter months. :-)

Like I mentioned above, the kind folks at R.M. Palmer Company sent along a box filled with Halloween chocolates for my family to enjoy, and we have been doing just that.

We spent this past weekend doing a taste test of the new chocolates, before the girls sat down and started making goodie bags and party favors to bring to their upcoming Halloween parties.  Friends and family have come to expect us to bring R.M. Palmer Company chocolates to holiday parties, and Halloween is no exception.  Last year the girls made this cute party favor filled with milk chocolate foil-colored eyeball candy.  They were such a hit with the kids and parents, that we decided to make them again this year for two of the Halloween parties my girls are attending and need to bring candy to pass out to the kids.  If you missed my post last year featuring this easy DIY Halloween treat, here it is again.  It is so easy to make, you just nee a box of snack size Ziploc bags, a handful of  Goog-ly Eyes or new CreepyPeeper Mix eyes, the label which you can print out FREE here, and a stapler to attach the print out to the baggie.  It is that easy! And, the best part is that you can have your kids do it.  And, they really get into it!  My girls loved sampling the chocolatey smooth chocolate eyeballs while filling the treat bags for their friends.  And, when they were sampling or filling the bags, they were having fun pretending their eyes were bugging out or popping out. :-)

Ahh, leave it to your kids to play with their food...well, in this case...their candy. :-)

We found this free printable template online to print out here

Then we gathered up our stapler, snack size Ziploc bags, our Googly Eyes from R.M. Palmer..and were ready to go.

Just look at cool these chocolate eyeballs look, veins and all!

And, they tasted even better. :-)

And, this is what the final product looked like.

We found this basket at the Dollar Store, and it really came in handy to store these cute party favors

More photos of the girls hard at work :-)

They had fun counting out the 8 eyeball chocolates and sampling the extra :-)

Gotta love this smile...both of my girls were proud of their party favors, and how they were able to do it themselves, and use their favorite R.M. Palmer chocolates.

In addition to the fun goog-ly eyes party favor idea, here are a few other fun edible Halloween treat ideas found under the "Making Candy Fun" Halloween tab on the R.M. Palmer Company website.  Just follow the easy step-by-step instructions to make some fun and oh so delicious Halloween treats for upcoming parties, to hand out to trick or treaters, or even to surprise your kids with as a fun after-school treat.

"Layers of Pumpkin, Vanilla and Brownie will make this simple recipe an elegant dessert delight at your next Halloween party!"

"Decorating for the Annual Halloween Party? Add an impressively spooky centerpiece to your table setting. Add containers of goodies and Palmer Halloween Candy Towers for a completely haunting look."

"Quick and easy Dirt Dessert is a seasonal favorite among kids and fun to decorate with Palmer® Monster Munch Mix and shortbread tombstones!"
