Do you have a unicorn lover in your house? Thanks to JoJo Siwa and her love of glitter, sparkles, unicorns and rainbows, my youngest daughter is all about them.  She spends hours drawing unicorns, and has even used her holiday money to buy t-shirts she wears proudly showing off her love of all things unicorns. So, it was only fitting to surprise her with this recent Simon & Schuster release, "Sophie Johnson, Unicorn Expert."

In addition to having the book sent to me for review, I also made a point to print off the free activity sheets you can find by clicking here.  Here you will find a maze, spot the difference, party horn craft, and so much more, featuring all the characters from this cute picture book.  I recommend printing these out and sharing them after you read this quick read with your child.  My girls love when I pair fun activities or crafts with a book we just read, and had no idea I had these fun activity sheets for them to do.

As far as the story goes, it was really cute, and had my girls pointing out the unicorn hiding in plain sight on each and ever page of the story.  I love books like these that not only tell a story, but have a little interactive activity like spotting the unicorn, to help keep a child's attention.  I found my girls pulling this book from the shelf the past couple of days and trying their hand at drawing the unicorn, or simply sitting to read it, admiring the colorful and playful illustrations, as they spot the unicorn yet again.

More about this book:

"Meet the master of magical creatures: Sophie Johnson! She’s an expert on unicorns…or so she thinks!

Sophie is a unicorn expert. She dresses up her toys, stuffed animals, and even her baby brother as unicorns! But living with enchanted animals can be tricky business. And Sophie is so caught up in teaching others that she fails to notice the magic right under her nose.

This funny and fresh picture book tells the story of a unicorn hiding in plain sight and a little girl who is totally oblivious to his presence!"
