I know many people don't want to think about this, but the holidays are fast approaching. Next week I will be kicking off my annual Holiday Gift Guide, and will be sharing gift ideas for the whole family, so that you can get a jump start on your holiday shopping, and not be left trying to find the hottest toys and best gift ideas for 2018, if you leave your shopping until the very end, like my husband likes to do. :-)
Before I share all these amazing gift ideas, I wanted to share a recent holiday-themed DVD that released back on October 2nd, and contains some of the best animated shows from Nick Jr., including Shimmer and Shine and Sunny Day.

Sunny Day
- Best Christmas Ever: When a snowstorm traps Doodle at his cousin's house on Christmas Eve, Sunny and the gang devise an intrepid plan to trek through the snow and reach Doodle in time to spend the holiday together.
Shimmer and Shine
- Snow Place We'd Rather Be: When Princess Samira sends Leah and the genies to find a snowflake gem, Zeta interferes making the girls' search much more difficult.
- Snow Time to Spare: The girls help Layla, the Ice Genie, create fun snow decorations for the upcoming Frosty Fun Festival.
- Frosty Fun: When two trouble-making Ice Sprites slip into Ice Genie Layla's Palace, the girls must catch them before they wreak havoc on the castle.

In total, this new DVD release has 6 full-length episodes that are sure to delight fans of Nella the Princess Knight, Shimmer and Shine and Sunny Day. My girls love these three shows and were happy to have a new DVD to watch in the car, and that was all about one of their favorite times of the year. Thanks to trips to the stores recently, and all the great products I will be sharing in my gift guide that have arrived at our house, my girls are already in holiday mode. Their letters are written and sent to Santa --- even though I am getting another will be written around November with last minute add ons; and now, they are all about pulling out their favorite Christmas movies and books to enjoy. And, thanks to this new DVD release, they have fun show episodes of their favorite Nick Jr. shows to watch as they count down.
