Arriving on DVD February 6th...

The Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About That! Season 2 Volume 1

If you follow my blog regularly, then you have probably read a handful or more DVD reviews of the Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About That! series, which airs on PBS Kids. Both of my girls have been fans of the show since they started watching as toddlers, and continue to watch it now, with more appreciation and understanding of the topics discussed.  And, when I am putting together homeschool lesson plans each month, I will usually go through our growing collection of these DVD's from NCircle Entertainment to tie in the subject matter we will be discussing.  Just last month we learned about Artic animals and snow and ice.  I used the following DVD to tie in what I was teaching the girls, and it really helped them understand the subject matter better, as they were not only learning, but being entertained by everyone's favorite Cat at the same time...

The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! Told From the Cold

This DVD shares with children how penguins don't actually fly, how water turns into snow, and how black bears prepare to hibernate for the winter.  Even though my girls have watched this DVD (which is only $5) a handful of times before, they enjoyed it again, and this time were able to point out things based on what they were learning in school, and talking more about the subject matter.  This is why I love the popular The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That animated series, as it gets kids excited about learning and exploring new things.  And, my girls never walk away from an episode without learning something or wanting to share all about the episode with family and friends.

On February 6th, the folks at NCircle Entertainment will be releasing

The Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About That! Season 2 Volume 1 DVD for fans of the show to pick up and add to their child's growing collection from this fun series.
