Back to School with Whiffer Sniffers (Review) #tryazon #WhifferSniffers

Disclosure: I was provided product samples and promotional items from the vendor after being selected to host an in-home Tryazon party.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Usually I am the one excited when chosen for a Tryazon party, as I love planning parties with family and friends, and it is a bonus to be able to demo products with them before sharing a review on my blog.  But for the past couple weeks my girls have been busy preparing for a Tryazon party we where chosen for, as it featured one of their favorite collectibles...Whiffer Sniffers.  When I told them we were chosen for this party, they both let out the biggest scream, followed by chit chat about who to invite, what we would do to make this a super cool party, and then talking about which Whiffer Sniffer characters they were hoping to get to add to their growing collection.  Just watching them get so excited about this party and wanting to help me plan, made me smile, but also was reminder about how fast the girls are growing up.  Time sure does go by fast, don't you agree.  Insert Mommy sniffing here as I quickly look at baby photos of the girls on my screensaver.

Speaking of sniffing, who used to love collecting scratch and sniff stickers growing up? I had a trapper keeper where I would proudly display my scented and puffy stickers.  We thought we were so cool back then.  Well, sticker collecting is not as fun for today's youth.  Instead, they are heading to the store to spend allowance and birthday money on blind bags and other surprise toys you have to open the package to see which character or toy you get, and then decide if you will keep or trade with friends.  My girls first stumbled upon Whiffer Sniffers last year when they saw them at the store.  They had no idea what they were at first, but knew they were cute and had to have one.  Then, when they come home and took the Whiffer Sniffer out of the package they realized they were scented plush.  From that point on, they were hooked and have been collected and trading duplicate Whiffer Sniffers ever since.

So, what are Whiffer Sniffers and why are they a must have for kids heading back to school, or those who just love to collect unique and fun toys?

What are Whiffer Sniffers?

"You have to catch a whiff of the original Whiffer Sniffers. Whiffer Sniffers are amazingly scented collectible plush characters with personality and charm. Each character’s scent matches their appearance. The strawberry smells like strawberries! The popcorn smells like popcorn! The chili pepper smells like…chili?!?! The fragrances are produced in the U.S., so you know they’re good. In fact, they’re so good that they will last for at least a year. Kids won’t be able to resist them. They will collect’ em, give’ em and trade’ em. They’re so much fun!

Nothing is more pleasurable than the smell of grape soda, birthday cake or mint chocolate chip ice cream. These childhood treats have been transformed into Whiffer Sniffers scented plush backpack clips. The Original Whiffer Sniffers is a collectible line of scented plush characters that are available as either backpack clips, larger huggable plush versions, and scratch n' sniff stickers. These adorable Whiffer Sniffers ($6.99) have been collected by kids coast-tocoast since 2015.

So what do kids typically do with a Whiffer Sniffer (or two or three)? These handsize plush are perfect to clip onto your backpack, book bag, lunch box, purse, sports bag, hang in your locker or leave in the car. No matter the spot, the whiff will be welcomed by anyone passing by! Any collector will tell you the fun of a collectible line is all in the hunt. With the introduction of Rare Limited Edition Mystery Packs, Super Rare Gold Bag Sniffer Mix and Sniffer Switch pieces as well as retirements and new introductions each quarter, we can proudly say with excitement that the Whiffer Sniffer HUNT IS ON!"

This past Wednesday my girls hosted 10 of their friends -- some who are homeschooled and others who attend public school.  The kids brought along their parents, and while the girls were schooling them on Whiffers Sniffers and showing off their growing collection, I enjoyed time with the adults talking about our back to school plans and all about these backpack clips.  We all agreed that we wished Whiffer Sniffers were aroun when we were growing up as we would have rocked them on our backpacks, in our lockers and hanging in our bedrooms.  I loved hearing the kids talk about which Whiffer Sniffers they wanted as they looked through the Collector's Books I was sent to pass out with other fun Whiffer Sniffers goodies to party goers.  The adults even got in on the fun, too.  I, for one, would love to get the Root Beer Float Whiffer Sniffer, while chocolate chip cookie, birthday cake, and grape soda were on the top of most parents lists.  :-)

Which scented Whiffer Sniffer would you love to have?  Hard to decide, right? :-)

In addition to the Collector's Books, I was also sent bags filled with Scratch N'Sniff sticker packs, Whiffer Sniffers Mystery Packs and a collector's checklist, to hand out to each family in attendance.

While the kids were the ones that tore into the packages to reveal their surprise scented plush character, I could sense that many parents were hoping for a limited edition one, or one of their top 3 clips they were hoping for.  Some were hoping their kids would not want it and give to them, and then they could hang in their car as a cool mom's air freshener. :-)  But, that didn't happen.  Just like when I told my girls we would be hosting a Whiffer Sniffers party, all the kids yelled and screamed with excitement as they tore open their mystery packs, and then saw their chracter and read all about their amazing smelling plush clips.

Here are some photos I took of my girls opening their Whiffer Sniffers mystery packs.

Savannah was lucky enough out of all those in attendance to get a limited edition Whiffer Sniffers plush clip.

And for the rest of the party all the kids were hoping to trade with her...but, she ended up keeping and has been proudly displaying it on her backpack.  When we are out and about with her backpack and people notice and ask about the cute backpack clip, she is quick to let them know it is a limited edition and ultra rare Whiffer Sniffers clip. :-)

Check out all the cute Whiffer Sniffers the party goers got...

We had so much fun at our Whiffer Sniffers party, and I keep hearing parents who came talk about how their kids are working towards earning money or saving their allowance so that they can buy more Whiffer Sniffers.  My girls are the same way, and have a wish list they put together based on ones they saw in the collector's book.  I am still waiting on my root beer float plush clip.  My girls are not fans of the flavor or scent, so they have already promised me if they get, they will give to me. :-)  So, I am holding out hope that I will get my very first Whiffer Sniffers plush clip soon to show off. :-)

So, as you head to the stores to do last minute back to school clothes and supply shopping, don't forget to add Whiffer Sniffers to your shopping list.  Just be warned...once your family starts collecting these fun scented backpack clips, you will not be able to stop.  Just like scented stickers back when we were younger, you can't have too many. :-)
