PBS Distribution to Release "20 FURRY TALES" on DVD Exclusively at Walmart on October 19th (Review)

My girls were excited when they saw me pulling the “20 FURRY TALES.” DVD from PBS Distribution out of the mail the other day, as they are both animal lovers and fans of each and every show that makes up the 4 hours of viewing time on this Walmart exclusive DVD.  And, you want to know the best part? This DVD, when released on October 19th, will only be $6.99.  I can't get over this price for the amount of stories and PBS Kids shows that make up this upcoming release.  Unlike other kids' DVDs that I review, I don't usually see a DVD that combines a handful of my girls' favorite shows and characters all on one DVD. Instead, I find myself buying additional DVDs, which take up space in the living and backseat of the car, just so that I can offer the girls a variety of shows to keep them entertained.

If you have a little one in your house, then you are probably familar with these popular PBS Kids shows -- Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Caillou, WordWorld, Super Why, Peg + Cat, Arthur, WordGirl, Reading Rainbow and Wild Kratts.  

Can you believe that all of these shows are included on this one DVD?  My girls were in heaven when they found this out and couldn't wait to sit down and watch the animal-themed stories.  Because the shows are short enough in length, they were able to watch a few shows each day, over the course of the past week and half.  I knew that after the first few episodes that this DVD was a hit with them, but Savannah insisted that they watch the entire 4 hours to give an accurate review which is 2 thumbs up! :-)

With the holidays fast approaching and colder weather and even snow days, why not make a point to pick up “20 FURRY TALES" from PBS Distribution with it hits Walmart store shelves on October 19th.  Like I said, with a price tag of only $6.99, you can't go wrong.  I will definitely be picking up an extra to leave at the grandparents house for the kids to watch.

Along with taking kids on animal adventures, these stories also feature valuable educational lessons. Kids will learn about letters and words while watching Super Why and WordWorld, about math with their friends Peg and Cat, and social and emotional skills by watching Daniel Tiger and his family and friends in Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood."
