Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Cereals Are Helping to Jump Start My Family's Days + 24-Hr. Sweepstakes for $1000! #MorningEnergy

Disclosure:  I was sent samples from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

If I skip breakfast in the AM, it is a slippery slope weight loss wise because by mid morning I am craving sweets and quick to grab anything in site.  But, I don't have the luxury to whip together pancakes, egg sandwiches or many other breakfast foods, as my girls are up at the crack of dawn, 6AM, each and every morning.  So, I find that if I wake at 5AM, I am able to get in a hot cup of coffee to kick start my date.  And, as I wait for the girls to come downstairs, I will have a bowl of cereal.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample two new Honey Bunches of Oats flavors -- Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Chocolately Almond Crunch and Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Cinnamon Crunch.  My family has been a fan of Honey Bunches of Oats cereal for years, and I have shared numerous reviews of new flavors from this line of cereal from Post.

Who doesn't need energy in morning?  Parents especially benefit from foods that not are good for them, but can also give them an extra push each morning, in place of strong coffee or other caffeine drinks.  And, they are right when they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day because if you skip this meal, you will drag all morning, and find yourself trying to snack or catch up on calories throughout the day -- not good for children or adults.

So, finding the right cereal for busy parents and families on the go is crucial in making sure you don't miss breakfast before heading out the door to start your date.  And, thanks to these two new Honey Bunches of Oats varieties, Post has you covered.  What I love about these two new cereals is that they contain 33-35g of Whole Grain per serving, with only 220 calories.  And like other Honey Bunches of Oats cereals, these two new varieties are also heart healthy and filled with 5 g of fiber.  Oh, and don't let me forget to mention that this cereal also provides 6 g of protein or 10 g per serving when combined with a half cup of fat free milk.  What more could you ask for from a nutritious, wholesome family?  Your entire family will love this cereal, even if it doesn't contain a toy in the box.

We sampled both flavors to compare flavors to see which one was our favorite.  My girls and I, all chocolate lovers, found ourselves reaching for another handful of the Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Chocolately Almond Crunch.  If you were to grab a handful from the box, you will find delicious chocolate morsels and clumps of crunchy granola bunches, along with crispy flakes.  My oldest loved to pick out and eat all the chocolate morsels, and then would follow by finding all the granola clusters.  Then, she would ask for her milk and wait until the crispy flakes were soggy before finishing her cereal.

Even if it wasn't breakfast time, I found myself reaching for a handful of this cereal to snack on. When the girls saw me snacking, they too, would ask for some.  How could I say when I knew that this was a healthier alternative to most kids' snack foods.

We are loving these two new flavors of cereal from Post's Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy line, and I know your family will enjoy them, too.  Full of flavor with each spoonful, this is a great way to fuel up in the AM, and get you ready for the day ahead.
