I am so happy that they put "Be Who You Wanna Be" as a bonus track on this CD, as it is one of my family's favorite songs.  Not only is it fun to sing and has catchy verses, but it is great for little ones in terms of building their self esteem and reminding them that it is OK to be different and to embrace those differences.  When I first sat down to watch this animated series with the girls, what drew me in as a parent was how Sofia was just like every little girl out there.  Yes, she was now a princess due to her mom marrying the king.  But, she is still Sofia, and not changed by her new title and home at the palace.  Girls all around the world fell in love with Sofia, as did my girls, and love tuning in daily to see Sofia discover empowering lesson about kindness, forgiveness, generosity, and self-respect. Sofia always stays true to her heart and never forgets her old friends and where she comes from, which to me is a breath of fresh air, compared to all the news reports we hear about today's young celebrities acting out or letting fame and money go to their heads.  The Sofia the First TV series, aimed at kids ages 2-7, features a voice cast that includes Ariel Winter (Modern Family) as Sofia, Wayne Brady (Let's Make a Deal) as Clover and Tim Gunn (Project Runway) as Baileywick.  If you haven't seen this show and have little ones, I highly recommend it, as it really is an enjoyable show and one that teaches little ones important lessons in life.

I enjoy watching Sofia the First on Disney Junior with the girls, and am so happy to now be able to listen to some of the hit songs from the show in the car, or in the house when we have a dance party in the living room.  I know that when we get the review copy in the mail, that the girls will want to have a dance party.  And, you know what, I will not blame, as the tracks on this CD really make you want to get up and dance around. :-)
