BEING HUMAN:THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON

VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES AND THE SUPERNATURAL
COLLIDE IN THE THIRD SEASON OF THIS
GROWING SYFY SMASH SERIES THAT MIXES "TRUE
BLOOD
" WITH THE "VAMPIRE DIARIES"

"From the creative team behind "Pillars of the Earth," "The Mentalist" and "Heroes," BEING HUMAN is Syfy's re-imagining of the acclaimed BBC original series created by Toby Whithouse. BEING HUMAN follows four paranormal, 20-something roommates living in a Boston brownstone - vampire "Aidan" (Witwer), werewolves "Josh" (Huntington) and "Nora" (Hager) and ghost "Sally" (Rath) - as they struggle to resist the temptations of their true natures. As the third season of BEING HUMAN returns, the four learn that there is a price to pay for getting what they want. Watching the characters hide their dark secrets from the world, while helping each other navigate the complexities of living double lives and trying to be human, viewership for the third season averaged 1.8 million viewers, making BEING HUMAN a Top 10 Cable Program in its time period among adults 18-49 and 25-54. Season 4 of BEING HUMAN premieres January 2014 on Syfy."

My Thoughts:

It always seems that whenever I find a good series on television, either the series is cancelled, or the returning seasons get boring -- thus, leaving me with nothing to watch, when I do find the time to catch a little television.  This was the case when I stumbled across Syfy's hit series, "Being Human" last season.  I was looking for something to watch and my flipping through the channels lead me to the show.  I am not usually a fan of shows on the Syfy Channel, but after a few minutes of watching, I was hooked.  And, since then, Santa was kind enough to bring me the first 2 seasons of Being Human on DVD, so that I could catch up and see how this popular series began, before the 4th season starts on Jan. 13th at 9/8C.

If you are not familiar with the series, it is about three young adults in their 20's who are anything but human.  One is a vampire, while another is a ghost and third is a werewolf.  Similar to other werewolf/vampire/ghost movies and shows, each of the characters has to deal with their own unique life and fitting into and dealing with the worlds of the others.  Having to live in the same apartment brings its issues, and this is what makes the show so great.  I don't want to give away too much, in case you haven't seen the show.  But, if you like shows/movies about vampires and werewolves or young adult comedies/dramas/fantasy genres, then you will want to check out this hit show on Syfy.  While I am still catching up on seasons 1 and 2, I was able to follow up early into the third season, and could understand the premise of the show.

I can't wait until the fourth season starts and see what is in store for Aidan, Josh and Sally.  Can you?  If you are a fan of the show and already own Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD or Blu-ray, then you will want to make a point to pick up Being Human: The Complete Third Season, as it is finally available as of today to own on DVD and Blu-ray. :-)
