Thanks to the Nuby Travel Set -- Never Forget Your Baby/Toddler's Spoon and Fork Again When Dining Out or Out and About (Review)

Disclosure:  I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views shared are mine and mine alone.

The one thing I always seem to forget to throw back in the diaper bag when we go out is the plastic bag with the girls' feeding utensils.  Usually I will take them out of the bag to wash them, but never remember to put them back in.  So, when we find ourselves at a restaurant, I usually ruffle through the bag, only to find we are without spoons and forks for the girls.  I don't know about you, but I have yet to find a restaurant that offers feeding utensils for kids.  I don't like to give the girls "adult" utensils, as I am afraid they will hurt themselves.  So, they end up using their fingers for non-finger foods, and make a big mess.

Thanks to the folks at Nuby, my worries of forgetting to pack their feeding utensils is finally behind me, thanks to their Travel Set.  Not only does the Nuby Travel Set keep the utensils organized as they are stored within the plastic travel case, which fits perfectly in any diaper bag, but the utensils also remain clean.  Because I have two toddlers, I used to find myself having to pack a handful of spoons and forks, in case they dropped them on the floor and I need to quickly replace them -- instead of having to run to the bathroom and wash and sanitize them.  With the travel set from Nuby, I have enough spoons and forks at my disposal, that even if I forget to pack 1-2 after bringing home to wash and dry, I still have enough in the handy travel case for when we dine out. :-)

I don't know about you, but one of the best inventions out there is the "spork."  You know what I am talking about...the feeding utensil that is a fork and spoon in one.  When I received the Nuby Travel Set, the first thing I noticed was that the fork in the utensil set looked just like a spork.  And, after trying it out with the girls, I found that picking up foods like mac and cheese and pasta noodles became a breeze.  They would either stick it with the fork prongs, or scoop it up and have it rest on the fork in the spoon like divot.  Either way, more food found its way into the girls' mouths, instead of on the floor.  And, my diaper bag stayed organized when it came to keeping their feeding utensils in one place.

Since receiving the sample to review, I ended up picking up a few more Nuby Travel Sets.  I gave one to my mom, for her to put in her handbag, in case she was out and about with the girls dining with the girls, and needed kid-friendly utensils, and I kept one in the car, for the occasions when we let the girls eat in the car at the drive in or during long car rides.
