SYNOPSIS

All aboard as Thomas and his engine friends embark on exciting adventures with some new furry friends! Percy learns to be gentle when meeting some small forest friends and Thomas goes hog-wild trying to be Really Useful for Farmer Trotter. Henry performs a sweet deed in returning Sodor’s special songbird and Thomas must fulfill a tall order when he is asked to deliver the newest animal to Sodor’s Wildlife Center. The engines are busy as bees being Really Useful and helping animals big and small."

My Thoughts:

There is no denying that we are a house full of Thomas & Friends fans.  You will see this if you walk into my house -- just make sure to look out for trains and other track pieces, as they hurt if you step on them with bare feet. :-)  You know what I am talking about -- toys always seem like daggers when left on the floor for adults to stumble or walk over in the dark.  Thankfully this was a DVD, so no worries about foot injuries. Instead, we have been enjoying this new DVD release, which is current available exclusively at Target stores nationwide.

Thomas & Friends was one show I was surprised to see both my girls get into, as you would think a show about trains would be geared towards boys.  Every year when we attend the annual Day Out with Thomas, I love seeing other young girls getting excited for Thomas.  So, whenever there is a new DVD for this popular show, I love picking it up to share with my daughters.  And, this one is by far their favorite of recent releases, as it also contains an assortment of animals.

This DVD is 55 minutes in length, with 5 full length episodes, and will keep even the youngest of viewers excited and engaged.  We have only had this DVD for less than a week, but we have already watched it over a dozen times, both at home and in the car.  The girls, while they love Thomas, Percy and the other engines, had more fun pointing out the different animals and telling my husband and I who they were, as well as tell us what sound each makes.  I loved the first time we watched this.  My husband came upstairs into the living room after arriving home from work, as he heard a bunch of animal sounds.  He thought we gotten some unexpected guests.  Only, it was the girls overly excited about all the animals that make an appearance on this new DVD. :-)

As I am writing up this post, the girls are finishing up another viewing of this DVD before lunch.  Even though they have seen it many times so far, they still get excited for each scene, and continue to ask to see it again.  So, if you have a Thomas & Friends fan in your house, you will want to make a point to head to your local Target store to pick up this recent DVD release soon.
