My Thoughts:

I love it when I can get others to help me review products and share their thoughts on products, especially when it comes to food.  Many of you know that my New Year's resolution was to lose the excess baby weight.  I have shared on numerous occasions here and on my social media pages that so far I have lost 25 pounds, with 10 more pounds to go.  I have been successful with my weight loss by adding exercise into my daily schedule, as well as making changes to my diet.  I had to say goodbye to many of my favorite foods like bread.  But, my biggest struggle was saying goodbye to sweets. I don't know about you, but after a long day with the kids, sitting down with a sugary snack just sounds like a good idea.  Right?  Not if you are on a diet, or trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  :-(

I was never one to seek out products from weight loss brands like Weight Watchers.  After hearing from family and friends who have tried these products in the past, they didn't sound appealing, especially when I was looking for something to satisfy my sweet tooth.  But, that all changed this past week, when I held mini taste tests in my kitchen, with family and friends.  Thanks to the folks at the Role Mommy Writer's Network and Weight Watchers, I was sent their Weight Watchers Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss™ and Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss™ to try out.

What was neat about this campaign was how the Brownie Bliss products were packaged.  Not to give away the Weight Watchers brand and deter people from trying these delicious brownie bites, one set of Brownie Bliss boxes were without a brand name.  I had to unwrap each brownie bite and put on a plate, so that the tasters wouldn't see the Weight Watchers name on the wrappers.  I snapped photos of family and friends taking their first bite of each of the Weight Watchers Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss™ and Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss™ varieties.  Oftentimes I wouldn't have to ask what they thought of the new baked goods from Weight Watchers, as they quickly reached for another, and another.  But, when it came time for the big reveal, showing them who makes these baked good snacks, everyone was shocked to see Weight Watchers on the box.

A few friends thought I had gone as far as to doctor up the boxes to play a joke on them.  So, I had to open up the branded boxes and hand them a brownie bite in the Weight Watchers wrapper, and see them take another bite to confirm with themselves that this is what they had just sampled.

Out of all the tasters, I have to say the biggest reactions came from my husband and father.  My husband usually doesn't like to snack, and will turn away tasty desserts, just to keep his trim figure. :-)  He used to love everything chocolate, just as much as me, until he found himself gaining weight during my two pregnancies and thereafter.  So, when I made the resolution to lose weight this year, he did too -- swearing off of breads, pastas and all things sweets.  After telling him I needed his help in trying out this new product by begging and pleading, he agreed to take a nibble. Yes, you read that right, a nibble.  What a guy, huh?  But, that nibble turned into a few bites, until the whole brownie bite was gone.

And, once he learned that these baked snacks were from Weight Watchers and contained zero grams of trans fat, he couldn't help reaching for another. :-)

My dad, on the other hand, loves his sweets -- just like I do! :-)  But, after hearing the reactions of the others who had tried these tasty brownie bliss treats before him, he knew something was up, and was hesitant to try them.  But, after showing him the brownie bites on the plate, he couldn't resist and took a bite of each.  At first, he thought he was supposed to try and detect the flavors.  When I told him I knew what they were and pointed out each to him, he scratched his head.  He wondered what I needed from him, besides hearing that these chocolate brownie bites were delicious.  Like the others, I asked him if he knew who made them.  After a few failed guesses, I revealed the Weight Watchers boxes.  His jaw dropped, before he exclaimed, "No!"  I was expecting this shocked reaction, as he was never a fan of diet snacks or products from Weight Watchers.

If it wasn't for this blind taste test opportunity, he would not have been introduced to the two delicious brownie bites -- Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss™ and Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss™ from Weight Watchers.

Luckily, I was able to sneak a few of the Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss brownies away from the tasters, and enjoyed them last night with some hot chocolate.  Mmm, what a way to end the day!  Not only did I satisfy my sweet tooth, but I didn't feel guilty snacking on creamy rich chocolate brownies, thanks to Weight Watchers new line of Brownie Bliss products.

Why not pick up a box of Weight Watchers Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss™ and Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss™, and have a blind taste test with your family.  See if they can guess that these tasty brownie bites are made by Weight Watchers.  I don't they will guess right.  I do know, however, that you will see similar reactions from them, just like I did when you reveal the Weight Watchers box to them. :-)
