Wraptastic Dispensers -- A Must Have for Every Kitchen (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views I share are mine and mine alone.

I don't know about you, but I am loving the warming weather here in New England now that it is spring.  Even though it still remains in the high 50's here, we will take these temperatures over snow and colder temperatures.  And, with the days lasting longer, I can't help but get excited about our pool being opened in time for our annual Memorial Day Cookout, in which we have family, friends and neighbors over, as a way to welcome in the summer, and catch up, since most of us have been cooped up in our homes most of the winter. :-)  When it comes to cookouts, not only do I have to make sure I have enough food to feed everyone, but I also have to make sure I have enough plastic wrap, foils, plates and plastic containers on hand -- to not only cover the food during the party, but also to send everyone home with leftovers. You would think that with all the people we have over, that we wouldn't have leftovers -- but, I guess our eyes are much bigger than our bellies, as everyone always seems to bring double of what everyone can eat -- thus in turn having leftovers for everyone to take home.

The one thing I hate about leftovers is having to wrap them up.  I have always hated fumbling with the plastic wrap or aluminum foil boxes, as they never seem to stay put, tear or bunch up easy, or worse, cause me to get a cut from the sharp blades poorly positioned on the outside of the boxes.  This hassle makes we choose to go with plastic containers to send people home with leftovers with.  I don't know about you, but this can get pricey if you have 10+ people you have to package food up for.  If only there was a kitchen gadget that would end the headaches of using wraps.  I could not only save money by wrapping the food in plates, but also my fingers would thank me for it. :-)

Have you heard about Wraptastic or seen an infomercial for it?  No?  Don't worry, as I hadn't either until I was sent samples recently to try out.  I am not usually one to watch infomercials, as I think the products are oftentimes gimmicks or a waste of money.  But, my dad has proven me wrong on several occasions, as he likes to buy and try products he sees on television.  When it came to Wraptastic, he also hadn't seen the infomercial, but was excited to help me try out one of the dispensers (as I was sent two for review).  So, what is Wraptastic? It is a brand new kitchen tool that is a must have for summertime entertaining. Wraptastic eliminates kitchen battles by providing a safe and easy to use container for all of your wrapping materials. From foil to plastic wrap to wax paper, Wraptastic can handle all of your wrapping needs. The stainless steel blade is recessed to protect fingers, while the rubber feet of the dispenser hold it in place while in use.  So, how do you use Wraptastic?  It is as easy as 1-2-3:

At first when I received the two Wraptastic dispensers I questioned how good they would work.  Would they cut without an issue when I pushed down the dispenser?  Or, would the plastic wrap bunch up, or the foil tear in the process?  I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was first to load the dispenser with its spring loaded mechanism.  And, when you are ready to cut your wrap, you simply push down on the dispenser, for an easy, even cut every time.  What I loved most about the Wraptastic was how I was able to have the dispenser stay put on the counter as I pulled out the appropriate length of wrap I needed over containers, plates, etc.  Then, I pushed down on the dispenser to cut the wrap, and didn't have to worry about the excess bunching up.  I could quickly and easily wrap the leftovers in seconds -- without fuss. ;-)

I had fun with the review of the two Wraptastic dispensers I was sent, and tried to recreate the video of the two ladies wrapping subs.  My dad used the old fashioned plastic wrap dispenser, while I used the new Wraptastic dispensed loaded with the same plastic wrap.  I was able to effortlessly wrap a handful of sub rolls in under a minute, while my dad struggled to keep the plastic wrap box steady enough to get a good size length of wrap to wrap his one sub roll.  As he looked on at me wrapping all the sub rolls, he ended up pushing the plastic wrap box away in frustration.  And, at that moment, we both agreed that for now on we would only use the Wraptastic dispensers in our homes -- as they offer no fuss, no muss, when it comes to wrapping leftovers and more.

So, if you love having picnics, barbecue's, or find yourself hating to wrap food with your plastic wrap or foil boxes because of all the hassles they present, why not switch to these great Wraptastic dispensers today? At only $10.99, plus P&H, you can't go wrong!  Take it from me, a person who is skeptical about "As Seen on TV" products," I was sold on this product, and can't stop raving about it with family and friends.  And, I know you will, too! :-)
