My Thoughts of the Show:

We took in the Opening Night show last night and had a blast.  Even though we have been attending Disney on Ice shows since Savannah was 6 months old, this was the first time we saw the Toy Story performed on ice.  We were not the only ones excited to see this, as the audience went crazy when Andy came out after the intermission.  Toy Story ended up being the only story told during the second half of the show, which wasn't a problem to all in the audience.  I think this is one of the main reasons why everyone came out.  Like I have shared in the past, Savannah is a huge Toy Story fan, and has seen all three Toy Story movies over a hundred.  I am not joking with the numbers.  There have been a few occasions where we would watch all three movies in one day, or one of the movies at least twice a day.  We have all the plush toys, bedding, puzzles, etc. -- you name it, we have it! :-)

I wish you could have saw the big grin on Savannah's face when Woody, Buzz and Jessie came skating it.  I had my husband try to take her photo, but then she played bashful, and put her serious face on. I wasn't sure if Savannah and Arabella would make it through the second half, as they were getting tired.  But, as soon as their favorite Toy Story friends came onto the ice, they were captivated, and kept their eyes on the ice until the lights when out. :-)

I am so happy we were able to attend the Opening Night performance of Disney on Ice Presents Worlds of Fantasy, thanks to the show promoter, Feld Entertainment, and was finally able to see Toy Story brought to life on the ice.  This was our favorite part of the Disney on Ice, and one that the girls are still talking about today.

So, if you are looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend, why not take them to the DCU Center in Worcester, MA and see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald Duck, along with the Toy Story Cast, The Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell, and the Cars?  This would make for a great day out, as you relive some of your favorite Disney/Pixar films on ice.  We sure made some great memories last night, and have the photos to remind us!
