My Thoughts:
Both my daughters love Thomas and Friends, so when they saw me taking this new 3-DVD set out of the package the other day, they went crazy, yelling "Thomas," as they danced around the living room. And, like a previous review of the new Chuggington DVD, this new release also comes with a limited edition toy engine. So, this time, Arabella got to keep the engine, while Savannah is waiting for another to come in the mail for her. But, unlike the other release and train engine set, this train engine has sound and music -- which got my girls excited.
If you have Thomas and Friends fans in your house, or have sat down to watch this popular series over the years, then you know about all the fun Thomas and his friends have as they complete tasks given to them from Sir Topham Hatt. Even though there are usually bumps along the way, it is through teamwork, friendship and loyalty that Thomas and his friends are able to complete these tasks. We especially love when new friends are made along the way, as well as when old friends come back to visit.
This 3-DVD set has been keeping the girls entertained this past week, especially the "Wobbly Wheels and Whistles" disc. And, when the girls are watching the fun-filled episodes that make up this new 3-DVD set, they are enjoying the bonus features, which include puzzles, games and interactive activities.
If you have a Thomas and Friends fan in your house, this new release would make for a great Easter basket gift idea -- or, to have on hand for any remaining snow days that we may encounter this winter. With the recent snow here in the Northeast, these DVDs have come in handy in entertaining the girls when they didn't want to go out, or were stuck inside with the head cold we have been fighting off.
