My Thoughts:
I remember growing up and reading R.L. Stine books, and then began buying the popular Goosebump's series from my oldest nephew. And, now there is a television series called "R.L. Stine's: The Haunting Hour" which airs on The Hub TV network. Whenever my nephew comes to visit, he makes a point to watch this show if it is on. He knows I don't like scary movies, and always tells me, "Auntie, Don't worry, this show isn't really scary." I have watched it on occasion with him, and can say it is a great mix of suspenseful thrills, tied with with some spooky parts. This is what gets the older kids excited about this popular series and R.L. Stine's books.
So, as you can imagine when I showed my nephew these upcoming DVD releases, and asked if he would help me review them, he was beyond excited. Even though he has already seen each of the episodes on these two DVDs, he was game to watch them again. And, this past weekend, we had a slumber party where we read R.L. Stine books and watched these DVDs. I have to say, I found myself getting drawn in to each storyline and became a fan. And, by the end of viewing the Volume 4 DVD, I asked my nephew what he thought of each. He turned to me and said, "Simply amazing!." And, you know -- he was right!
