"Features the top 200 most-reviewed, most-searched and highest-ranked recipes from the website's extensive collection."

"Designed to make at-home cooking more easy and enjoyable, the book offers unique Scan-It/Cook-It™ features that let readers instantly access recipe-specific videos, professional tips and cooking guides via mobile or tablet device without leaving the kitchen.

Thanks to all-new invisible watermark technology, readers can get on-demand help by scanning one of the book's more than 130 vibrant, full-color recipe photographs using the Digimarc Discover app (free to download; available on iTunes and Google Play). Scan-It/Cook-It™ features include 'How-To Videos,' which walk users through an entire recipe step-by-step, such as how to poach eggs or cut up a chicken; and 'Expert Answers,' which provide feedback to common cooking questions and allow users to submit their own questions. Other features include 'Weeknight Meal Planners,' 'Collections of Similar Recipes,' 'Shopping Lists,' and more.

"America's Favorite Food" is the first cookbook from the MyRecipes brand. The book presents the top 200 most-reviewed, most-searched and highest-ranked recipes from the website's extensive collection – which features more than 65,000 recipes developed by trusted lifestyle magazines such as Cooking Light, Southern Living, Real Simple and Health, among others. Organized in 10 easy-to-navigate categories such as 'Starters,' 'Seafood,' 'Meatless Mains' and 'Desserts,' the recipes were selected based on actual reviews and rankings by more than 6 million home cooks who use MyRecipes.com each month.

Other user-friendly features of "America's Favorite Food" include quick access icons for each recipe which identify recipes as 'Kid Friendly,' 'Gluten Free,' and '30 Minutes or Less,' among others; reviews and advice from MyRecipes.com users on the best substitutions and suggestions for specific dishes; and quick tips from MyRecipes editors that outline how to enhance a dish and tips for finding special ingredients at your local market, plus much more. My Thoughts:

I was sent a review copy a few weeks after this cookbook came out.  Like I have said in past cookbook reviews, I read a cookbook as if it is a novel, cover to cover.  And, when I am done reading it, half of the pages are marked with sticky notes, so I know which recipes I want to try.  And, for the past month and a half, I have had the opportunity to try out over a dozen recipes with my family, and even some new desserts for our recent Thanksgiving dinner.

Before this new cookbook released, I had been a fan of MyRecipes.com for years.  This was my number one go-to site for recipes.  I loved seeing how other at-home cooks rated recipes and shared their thoughts.  This helped me decide from the over 65,000+ recipes that make up the MyRecipes.com.  In putting this cookbook together, they took recipes which received high ratings and rave reviews from those who tested them in their kitchens, so I knew only the best of the best recipes would be included -- and, of the ones I have tried so far, they are.

My favorite sections of the "America's Favorite Food" cookbook are the 'Kid-Friendly,' '30-Minutes or Less' and the 'Make Ahead' sections.  Under each photo of the completed recipe is an actual comment from a reviewer, taken from the MyRecipes.com.  I checked a few to make sure they were taken from here, and they were. :-)  I can tell they did their research when they chose the best 200 recipes to include in this cookbook.  And, based on the rave reviews from those who have reviewed this new release, I know we can expect future cookbooks to come from MyRecipes.com.  But, in the meantime, I will continue to try out each of the recipes I marked, and know that I will be providing my family with a delicious meal they will enjoy.  And, the girls are enjoying the recipes I have been making from the 'Kid-Friendly' section, which has been a big help at lunch time.  Now, I don't have to rely on popular go-to's like mac and cheese, hot dogs, and soup, which I love.

I recently downloaded the iTunes iPad i-Book version of this book, so that I could have the recipes I was making handy.  For only $12.99, it was well worth the investment, as I love being able to tap the screen and making the recipe larger and seeing the easy to follow instructions, without having to pinch and expand.  And, another great feature of this iBook is that you can tap on the icons to view a list of all the gluten-free, vegetarian, kid-friendly, 30-minute or less, and low-calorie recipes. This eliminates the need to flip through the cookbook to find these types of recipes.  I simply choose the recipe I want to create, place my iPad in its holder and start cooking.  Easy as pie!

So, if you love cookbooks like I do and/or the MyRecipes.com website, why not pick up "America's Favorite Food" cookbook today?  Or, surprise a cookbook lover with this recent release.
