My Thoughts:

Who doesn't love the big purple dinosaur?  Barney became an instant hit in our house the first time Savannah saw him on television.  She was drawn in by the songs and easy to understand stories.  So, when Savannah saw me taking this new release out of the mail, she couldn't wait for me to put Barney on for her to watch.  

This 2-disc set, which includes 10 popular episodes, along with tons of bonus features.  I found that Savannah liked the second disc more, as she is beginning to learn how to count and say the days of the week, and these were featured in two of the episodes on Disc 2.  

There are many parents that can't stand to watch Barney -- I know as my husband is one of them.  At first, I was turned off by the huggable T-Rex, but after sitting through episode after episode with Savannah and seeing how she is not only enjoying the stories and songs, but also learning in the process, I couldn't help but begin to like Barney and his Friends.  Baby Bop is Savannah's favorite, and whenever she appears, Savannah begins waving to the television and saying hello to her.  Too cute!

Overall, we had a blast watching all ten episodes on this two-disc set, released yesterday.  And, I know in the weeks to come, we will watch them again and again, especially the counting episode.  If you have a Barney fan in your house, then they would love to be surprised with Barney: Most Loveable Moments on DVD, as my daughter was. :-)
