My Thoughts:

As soon as The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! comes on the television in the AM, Savannah is front and center, ready to sing along as Nick and Sally join the Cat on fun adventures.  She loves chiming in and singing, "Go, go go." So, when I found out that NCircle Entertainment was releasing this new underwater adventure DVD featuring the Cat in the Hat, voiced by Martin Short, I had to get a copy to enjoy with Savannah.

This new DVD features 5 underwater stories, which will not only entertain young children, but will teach them about the Ocean Floor, Coral Reef and sea creatures.   Even though I watch this animated series with Savannah each morning, I still can't get over the amazing animation.  No wonder why this show has become a hit on PBS. Savannah's favorite underwater adventure was "Help with Kelp," in which Nick and Sally are search of the perfect gift for fishes birthday.  They decide that kelp, a feathery plant found in water, would make for a  great gift.  As they travel with the Cat in the Hat to the ocean floor, they not only learn about kelp, but other underwater wonders.  This DVD is truly a wonderful way to introduce young children to science and underwater creatures.

The other short episodes on this DVD are also entertaining to watch, and just the right length to keep little ones engaged. By the end of the DVD, Savannah was saying words she would have otherwise not known, if it hadn't been for this wonderful underseas adventure.  She surprised her Daddy the other day when he took her to see the fish at the pet store.  As they walked by one fish tank, she pointed to the plastic decorations and said, "kelp."  You should have saw my husband's reaction.  He had no idea how she knew this world.  I told him she had the Cat in the Hat to thank for that! :-)
