Quick and Easy Finger Food Recipes to Offer at Your Next Get Together -- And a Farm Rich Sweepstakes

With the warmer weather upon us, I have begun going through my cookbooks and marking recipes I want to try at upcoming pool parties and other gatherings I hold throughout the summer for family and friends.  Since welcoming our daughters in 2010 and 2011, I have another reason to get everyone together, so that we can all enjoy each others company, and they can see how fast the girls are growing.  Before kids, my husband and I would have wine pairing dinner parties and spur of the moment cookouts, but when you through kids into the mix, I find that you need to plan, and at time, be prepared to made last minute changes if the kids are not feeling well, etc.

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I wanted to share a few recipes that I will be using, in case you are looking for some fun finger foods to offer at your next get together.

As a busy mom on the go, with two girls under the age of 2, I try to choose recipes that are not only quick and easy to prepare, but are also healthy and will not break the budget.  With this in mind, I have come to count on Farm Rich Snacks, when I am pressed for time and looking for great finger foods to offer guests.  I especially love their meatballs and mozzarella bites, while my husband loves when I serve Farm Rich pizza bites.  I just found out that Farm Rich is adding a new product to their appetizer line, Queso Cheese Bites – delicious, bite-sized snacks filled with creamy white queso cheese.  Mmm, my mouth is water just thinking about this Mexican-inspired treat.  I will definitely have to pick up some of these when I go the market over the weekend.

In addition to Farm Rich appetizers, I will also be offering the following kid-friendly finger foods, which I recently found through Pinterest.

Welsh "Rabbits"
Welsh rarebit is a slightly enriched version of cheese toast -- children will probably enjoy this version of "rabbit." View the recipe

Prosciutto and Taleggio Panini
Hot dog buns are just right for baby panini, and the deliciously creamy Taleggio cheese in this filling melts beautifully. You could use fontina or mozzarella instead.  View the recipe

Cute Cornucopia

This mini horn of plenty guarantees that hungry young guests will have something to nibble on. Set one at each place as a meal-starter, or make a bunch to serve as a kid-friendly hors d'oeuvre platter.  Click here for recipe.

 Cucumber Feta Rolls

The filling is super quick to whip up, and could even be used as a dip to go with vegetables (think sliced cucumber rounds and bell pepper strips) and toasted pita chips. Click here for recipe.

Have you come across any finger foods on Pinterest, or in cookbooks, that you have tried or will be serving at your next get together?  If so, I'd love to hear about it, as it will give me more ideas for foods to offer.  Leave a comment below with a link to the Pinterest page or info. on the recipe.  Looking forward to hearing from you.
