Summary:

THE GOLDEN BOOK OF FAMILY FUN is the go-to book for today's families looking for the most fun and creative games, activities, party ideas, and crafts to do together.  . . big bucks and TV remotes not required! There's something for everyone in this book--from making a backyard water park, to classic outdoor games such as "Kick the Can" and "Ghost in the Graveyard," to instructions for making a camping stove. . . plus ghost stories, card games, easy-to-make snacks, and crafts galore. Written in a witty, accessible style by one of today's most successful game inventors and crafts experts, THE GOLDEN BOOK OF FAMILY FUN is a deluxe, affordable source for recession-proof, down-home, big fun!
. My Thoughts:

With the warmer weather right around the corner, this is a great book to have on hand to help you plan fun ways to entertain the family.  Instead of relying on the television or computer to provide hours of entertainment (or distraction) to children, why not consider doing fun arts and crafts projects, playing outdoor games, going on a scavenger hunt, to name a few.  This book is jam packed with activities that everyone in the family will enjoy doing.  I loved the "25 Things to Do on a Rainy Day" list, as this past winter has been filled with wash outs, and with the help of this list, I was able to find creative ways to entertain Savannah indoors.  Savannah especially loved when I made homemade bubble bath thanks to this book.

Overall, this book, with large graphics and easy to understand instruction will offer both parents and grandparents affordable ways to entertain children, through games, recipes and activities.  Oh, did I mention this book also has fun ghost stories.  These would be great to share around the campfire this summer, while toasting S'Mores.  I can't wait until the girls get a little older and we can play Red Light, Greeen Light in the backyard.  If you don't know how to play this game, don't worry, as this books shares the instructions.  So, what are you waiting for?  Head to your local bookstore or order the Golden Book of Family Fun today.  You will be glad that you did!  And, turn off the television and spend quality time with your children -- they are only little for a short time!!!!
