My Thoughts:
I was sent the SAFER Car Seat Cover this past weekend, and had a chance to try it out with Savannah, during a trip to visit my parents. Usually, Savannah naps during the entire car ride, but this time, she was awake, after having napped in the AM. To keep her entertained, I packaged up some snacks, including her sippy cup filled with juice, and a few of her toys and books to keep her busy. I have a little tray that I strap around her, that acts as a desk and was invented by another mom (review coming soon), but Savannah always manages to spill her snack or juice all over her car seat. If you have young children who ride in car seats, then you know what a pain it is to clean the seat up after your child spits ups, vomits spills their juice or even soils their car seat. I have had each and every one of these things happen with my daughters, and dread cleaning the seats, as they usually don't come fully clean. As a neat feat, cleanliness is top on my list when it comes to cleaning. So, when I have to spend hours in the garage cleaning two car seats, by the end I just want to toss the chairs and buy new ones.
But, thanks to this invention by a pediatrician and father, gone are the days of spending countless hours scrubbing and cursing at the car seats, after the girls dirtied them. Instead, I can simply slip on the SAFER car seat cover over Savannah's seat, and instantly be provided with stain protection. If and when Savannah dirties the car seat, all I have to do is slip off the car seat cover and through in the wash. It is easy as that. When done washing and drying, it is ready to be placed back on the car seat to offer instant protection, which I love. Luckily, when Savannah spilled her juice over the weekend, I didn't freak out, or spend hours after driving cleaning her seat. As soon as we got home, I took the car seat cover off her chair and threw in the laundry, with my daughters' other clothes and bibs. In under a half hour, the SAFER car seat cover was ready to protect again. How great is that? I know, you want one to...See below on how to order one of these car seat covers for yourself, or to give as a gift.
