ELMO AND FRIENDS SOAR TO NEW HEIGHTS WHEN SESAME WORKSHOP AND WARNER HOME VIDEO RELEASE SESAME STREET: BIG ELMO FUN ON DVD APRIL 3, 2012!

Includes 3 Full-Length Sesame Street Stories Plus the Full-Length Bonus DVD “Monster Hits”!

Get ready to join Elmo and Abby for some BIG fun as Warner Home Video (WHV) and Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, release Sesame Street: Big Elmo Fun on DVD April 3, 2012 at an SRP of $14.98. Sesame Street: Big Elmo Fun features three full-length stories, two engaging new songs, a special animated book extra and the full-length bonus content “Monster Hits.”

Elmo embarks on some gigantic adventures in Sesame Street: Big Elmo Fun! In “Elmozilla,” he is accidentally enlarged and towers over all of Sesame Street. While Abby tries to figure out how to get Elmo back to his normal size, kids will learn all about measurement as they help solve Elmo’s BIG problem. In “Elmo and the Monarch Butterfly” children will learn about science and observation.  Finally, in a spoof of the hit cooking show Iron Chef, Elmo stirs up even more fun in a silly cooking competition “Cast Iron Cooks,” with Jason Schwartzman as the judge. In all three episodes, children are introduced to new vocabulary such as fascinating, metamorphosis, ingredient and measure. Kids and caregivers are in for a BIG treat with two brand-new songs, and the “Flutter By, Butterfly” animated book to reinforce the lessons learned during Elmo’s adventures.

“Warner Home Video is thrilled to bring Elmo’s latest adventure to DVD with the release of Sesame Street: Big Elmo Fun,” said Jeff Brown, WHV Executive Vice President and GM of Non-Theatrical Franchise. “With brand-new songs, an animated book, and a full-length bonus DVD, preschoolers will have loads of Big Elmo Fun while enriching their cognitive reasoning and math skills.”

Now in its 42nd season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history (138), as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award honoring the 40th year.
