If you grew up a fan of Robin Hood, you're especially going to love this show! Veggie has done with this show what we do best - taking a classic story and retelling it in a uniquely VeggieTales way, with silliness and also a big heart. The lesson in this show is about handling hurt. We heard from moms that this was a top lesson they wanted to see VeggieTales cover for their kids.

Summary:

Theres no hurt too big for God! Robin Good has a mission - fundraising from the rich and giving to the poor! But when a greedy Prince starts stealing the townspeople’s hams, donations are down and Robin’s band of friends desert him to give robbing a try. Can Robin overcome his hurt, show his friends what’s right and restore the townspeople's hope?

My Thoughts:

I have been a fan of VeggieTales movies for years, since my nephew introduced me to these fun loving talking vegetables, who share the message of God in their stories, which are based on classic tales.  In this new release, the tale of Robin Hood, in this case, Robin Good, is visited.

This film does a great job in teaching children about charity, friendship, honesty, and touches upon disappointment in life and how to cope with it in a positive way.  If you have never seen a VeggieTales movie, or love movies that are both entertaining and provide a biblical feel to it, then you will love this and other titles from the VeggieTales family.  I love being able to introduce Savannah to faith-based content in an entertaining way.  I don't like the films that keep throwing religion in your face and are one-sided.  VeggieTales movies can be enjoyed by children of all ages, including adults.  I can't wait to see what the next release with be from VeggieTales.  I know that I will not be disappointed.

Even though I loved this movie, my favorite part was the silly music video, Bubble Rap, found in the Bonus Features section of the DVD.  Here, see for yourself how funny these singing veggies are:
