McDONALD’S® DEBUTS NEW BAKERY OFFERINGS IN NEW ENGLAND AND ALBANY, NY

In an effort to continually appeal to the tastes of its customers, McDonalds announces the addition of five bakery items in its New England and Albany, NY area restaurants. The new bakery offerings include cheese danish, blueberry muffin, multi-grain berry muffin, banana bread and mini vanilla scones. The items are available throughout the day.

McDonalds new bakery offerings are made with high quality ingredients like real dairy butter, whole grain oats and real fruits like blueberries, raspberries and banana puree. All bakery offerings at McDonalds contain no preservatives. The new multi-grain berry muffin contains 280 calories, has zero grams of trans fat per labeled serving and is a good source of fiber.

We know baked goods appeal to New Englanders and are thrilled to offer our customers these delicious bakery offerings, says Rachel Deane, local McDonalds owner/operator and president of the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts McDonalds Owner/Operator Association.  Whether it’s grabbing a bakery item for breakfast on the go or stopping by for an afternoon snack, our customers now have more affordable and portable options when they visit our restaurants.

McDonalds has a track record of introducing products to appeal to regional tastes. In 2005, McDonalds restaurants throughout New England and Albany, NY introduced Newmans Own Organics Coffee and later, in 2006, introduced Newmans Own Organics Iced Coffee. The Newmans Own Organics blend, made exclusively for McDonald’s, is a combination of light and medium roast with a smooth body and clean finish. A cup of Newmans Own Organics Coffee is the perfect pairing to the new Bakery items.
