My Thoughts:

I was a huge Care Bears fan growing up, and was excited when I welcomed two girls into this world, as I couldn’t wait to share this and other childhood favorites with them.  So, when I heard Lionsgate Home Entertainment was releasing this 6-DVD set, featuring 40 CGI episodes and a full-length movie, I couldn’t wait to get hold of a copy and share with my daughters.  Just last month, I had introduced Savannah to my old Strawberry Shortcake and Popples cartoons that I had saved and the converted to DVDs.  You should have seen the big smile she got on her face while watching these shows.  I could only picture myself with the same smile and feeling of excitement watching these as a child.

So, when I was sent a review copy of this DVD, I wasted no time in popping disc 1 into the DVD player.  While Savannah was napping, I watched a few episodes, reliving childhood memories.  Ahh, the nostalgia.  Then, Savannah woke up, and I brought her downstairs to continue watching a few episodes with me.  She was mesmerized by the bright and cheery characters and couldn’t stop watching, all while clapping and dancing around.  We have since added the Care Bears to my daughter’s favorite DVDs to watch.  She especially loves the full-length movie, Care Bears to the Rescue, as do I.

Were you Care Bears fan growing up?  Or, does your child like the Care Bears?  If so, you should definitely check out this 6-DVD set, when it becomes available in stores on December 6th.  This would make for a great holiday gift!

Disclosure:  I was sent a copy of this DVD set from Lionsgate Home Entertainment in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
