    Summary:

As the sun sets from east to west, this book takes children on a magical round-the-world journey to bid good night to the world’s natural wonders, from plants and animals to mountains, oceans, and wide desert plains. Willa Perlman’s soothing, lyrical text combines with Carolyn Fisher’s sweeping illustrations to paint a vivid picture of everything everywhere going to sleep—including an imaginative little boy.

    My Thoughts:

I just love this lullaby book by Willa Perlman.  Savannah and I have been reading this book at least once a week, and it still doesn't get old.  We both loves the beautiful and colorful illustrations that go along with story.  I especially love how at the end of the book, a child learns 16 ways to say goodnight in different languages.  Written in rhyme, this easy to read story will have your little one saying "Goodnight" to all the wonders of the world around them.  And, usually by the last page, my daughter is ready to go to bed, or already fast asleep, thanks to this calming nighttime book.

So, if you are looking for a bedtime book to read to your little one, why not pick up Good Night, World today.  It would also make for a great holiday gift to give your child or grandchild. And, while you are at the bookstore, why not check out WIlla’s other book that both my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed, Pocket Kisses.  You can read my review of this book here.
