Feature Friday -- NurturMe Organic Baby Food (Product Review and Giveaway)

Closed.  And, the winner is:  Kelly T.

This past Monday, I featured Caroline Freedman, co-founder of NurturMe organic baby food. If you missed my interview with her, click here to read it now.  Today, I wanted to share with you more information about this wonderful and tasty product line she created.  My daughter, Savannah had the opportunity to try out a variety of flavors, including banana and sweet potato from the NurturMe product line, and can't get enough of this food.  Since receiving samples from Caroline to try out, I have gone to the supermarket to stock up, as Savannah loves to have a pouch of the sweet banana or crisp apple added to her oatmeal.  And, then at lunch, I can usually sneak in the scrumptious squash pouch to her raviolis or mac n cheese dish.

What Makes NurturMe Organic Baby Food Different From Other Baby Food Products?:

Food that grows with your baby -- from 4 months to 4 years.

Unlike other baby foods, our quick-dried fruits and veggies give you the flexibility to make it the way your baby likes it. Simply add breast milk, whole milk, formula or water in any amount and combination — there is no right or wrong. As your baby’s tastes’ mature, try adding to foods like grains, homemade purees, yogurt and even macaroni and cheese to boost their nutritional value.

Sweet Banana                           Crunchy Carrot                     Crisp Apples

Plump Peas                                Hearty Sweet Potatoes             Scrumptious Squash

Benefits of NurturMe Pouches:

Easy to Prepare -- Prepare by mixing with water, breastmilk or formula. Stir to reach desired consistency. Use the entire contents of pouch after opening.
4+ months : Mix 1 pouch with 3-5 tbsp liquid.
6+ months : Increase serving size by combining 2-3 pouches.

Easy to Carry -- Give yourself (and your back) a break. These earth-loving, lightweight pouches are great for busy moms on the go and at home. Each pouch weighs less than a jar and yields approximately 2.5 oz. of pureed baby food.

Easy to Add -- Think outside the highchair and get creative with your toddler’s menu. Simply add a pouch of NurturMe to foods, like pasta and yogurt, to boost your child’s nutrients. The best part — it tastes so good, they’ll never know.

Easy on the environment -- Go full circle with us by honoring nature from beginning to end. We are a nature conscious company that uses recyclable cartons made with wind energy. Weighing less than a jar, each NurturMe pouch leaves a smaller carbon footprint on our planet.

Now that we are introducing Savannah to "People Food," I am finding it hard to get her to eat more than just mac n cheese and carrots.  But, with the help of these fruit and vegetable pouches, I am able to add some of her favorite flavors (bananas, carrots, squash, etc.) into our dishes, so that she will eat them.  In addition, I can't stop printing off and trying recipes that NurturMe offers on their website.  Click here to see their recipes section, where they share easy to follow video recipes, which incorporate their pouches into a variety of dishes, including pastas, pancakes and even a tasty banana smoothie.  Once you are done watching the video, you can print out an index-sized recipe card, to add to your recipe box.  Right now, Savannah is loving these:

So, if you are looking for a quality brand that really cares about the needs and wants of parents, then you definitely need to check out the NurturMe organic baby food product line. I know as a busy mom on the go, I am always looking for foods that are easy to prepare, store and carry along when we are out and about.  And, NurturMe offers the convenience of each, making it a healthy and delicious product offering your children will love.

  1. Sweet bananas! I think this product is brilliant! How convenient to have pouches to carry instead of jars. And the nutritional value of being able to add the powder to yogurt or milk--super!
