My Thoughts:
This was the first time I had tried the Old Orchard brand, and with their new Cranberry Naturals juices, I couldn't wait to see what I was missing.  Wow, was this flavored cranberry juice tasty.  I was sent 2 bottles to sample -- Cranberry Apple and Cranberry Pomegranate

It was hard to choose a favorite between these two, as they were both so good. Each glass offered a light and crisp cranberry taste, without the added sugar (each glass contains only 70 calories). Instead of using highly processed sugars, Old Orchard uses Truvia (an all-natural sweetener) to enhance this beverage.

In addition to the two flavors I was sent to sample, Old Orchard also offers Classic Cranberry, Cranberry Grape, Cranberry Raspberry and Cranberry Blueberry as part of this new Naturals line.

If you love cranberry juice, or are looking for new juice that contains less sugar and calories to consume, why not give Cranberry Naturals a try today.  Before heading to your local market to buy, first visit the Old Orchard website and join their club, so you can download valuable coupons, like $.50 off a 64 oz. bottle of Cranberry Naturals.

Everyone in my family enjoyed these juices, including Savannah.  We are now saying goodbye to those other juices that really don’t contain juice – just tons of sugar, and making sure we have bottles of Cranberry Naturals chilled in the fridge.  I can’t wait to try the Cranberry Blueberry juice.

I was asked by the folks at Old Orchard to use their Cranberry Naturals juices in a unique way in the kitchen.  So, this past weekend, I tweeted a family recipe to include this juice.  Here is my recipe below.  Everyone loved the bread – as, there were only crumbs left in the dish at the end of the night!
Cranberry Nut Bread

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup cranberry juice
1 cup sifted all-purpose white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon dry buttermilk
1/2 cup walnuts or sliced almonds (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup dried cranberries
2 1/2 tablespoons of your favorite marmalade (pineapple, mixed berry, peach, orange, apricot, etc.)
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 tablespoon grated orange peel

PREPARATION:

Add all ingredients in order suggested by machine manufacturer. Select Basic/Specialty setting;

If you have created a unique recipe with cranberry juice, I would love to have you share below, as I am always looking for fun and tasty ways to create or tweak recipes.

  4. I learned that when the fruits that they use are harvested, the water is removed from them. When they blend the juice, the water is added back, in just the right amounts.
