Nutridel, a Natural, Artisan-Made, Crunchy, Gourmet Cookie (Product Review)

NUTRIDEL is an artisan, gourmet cookie, made by hand in small batches with all-natural, earth-loving high quality ingredients. These cookies contain no animal or dairy products. They are baked to perfection, and the result is a crispy, crunchy snack you can enjoy any time with guilt-free pleasure!

The brand is a concoction of the words “NUTRItious” and “DELicious”, exactly what our cookies represent. These products are 100% natural, contain no additives, preservatives, artificial colorings, flavorings or sweeteners of any kind. They are loaded with seeds, grains, nuts, fiber and sweetened with a touch of molasses.

These gourmet, round and perfectly crisp cookies are available in coffee shops, health clubs, and specialty stores in California and the Pacific Northwest. They also offer their products for sale through their on-line store. With ingredients like sesame seeds, pecans, almonds, flaxseed, wheat germ, oats and amaranth, each 2 cookie package is a no-guilt yummy treat!

Crumble them over frozen yogurt, top them with fresh fruit or create a nutritious almond butter cookie sandwich. The options are endless. Finally, a cookie that you can feel good about!

 My Thoughts:

I was sent a sample of each of their four cookie flavors to try out and have to say it was hard to choose a favorite.  You could tell just by looking at each cookie that Nutridel uses the freshest of ingredients when making these cookies.  They were loaded with seeds, nuts, grain and fiber.  And, depending on the cookie, it was sweetened with either coconut or molasses. Yum!  I especially loved the hint of cinnamon you could taste in the flaxseed cookie.  It was an unexpected treat!

I ended up breaking the pecan cookie up and crumbling it into smaller pieces before adding it to my morning yogurt.  It brought my plain vanilla yogurt to a new level -- much more tastier.  And, the crunch was just enough.  As for the oatmeal cookie, I ended up eating this cookie right out of the package, and even shared the other cookie with my husband, who just loves oatmeal cookies.  He couldn't believe how tasty it was.  When he first looked at the cookie, he saw all the healthy ingredients that went into making it, but thought it would be a dry cookie.  After taking his first bite, he was an instant fan.  And, surprising, he was full when done eating the cookie.

Over the weekend, I ended up spreading Biscoff spread over the almond cookie and eating it as a snack in the evening.  The Biscoff spread gave the almond cookie a sweeter taste and was a nice evening treat.  Like I said previously, the flaxseed cookie contained a hint of cinnamon, so I ended up cutting up bananas and drizzling honey over the cookie and had it one morning for breakfast.  This was a nice change up from my daily yogurt.  And, with the fresh fruit and honey, paired with the crunch of the cookie, I felt like I was eating breakfast at a fancy pastry shop.

Overall, I have to say that these cookies are one of the best artisan-made cookies I have tried.  And, don't be surprised if you children sneak a few for themselves.  They are healthy, yet offer a sweetness, that will make children want to eat them right up.  Just don't tell them they are healthy! :-)

  1. oh boy, I rarely find a store-bought cookie interesting, but these sound tantalizing, and would also make a nice gift!
