My Review:

4 stars out of 5

You always hear that most fights in a relationship or marriage are about finances.  Some people fight about how the other person's spends money inappropriately, while others fight about who makes more and how the money should be spent.  I have friends who are still dating and say how they will always keep their bank accounts separate.  They don't realize that when they get married, that with this union, usually comes the joining of bank accounts to help pay the mortgage and other expenses.  I can just imagine the fights they people will have when and if they get married and can't agree on how the money should be spent and about joining accounts.

If you are recently married or newly engaged, I highly suggest you pick up Matt's book today and read it.  You will thank him later, as it will save you many fights with your spouse regarding finances.

The best part of this book is how Matt breaks it down into two sections -- "Decoding Each Other's Financial DNA" and "A Ten-Step Action Plan for Financial Success."  Make sure you download Matt's free Cash Flow Plan from his website (link is given in the book), as this will help with the 10-Step plan.

In the first section, you and your partner will learn what type of spenders you are, and how you seen finances.  And, then, after determine your financial temperament, you can move onto section 2, where you will learn to take action and improve your financial situation as a couple.

This is a great step-by-step book that you can sit down and read together.  It will get you both talking in a positive way about your finances as a couple and how you can have a strong and lasting marriage with a true understanding on each others financial temperament and how you can work together to reach your joint financial goals.

Even if you are newly engaged or married, but have continually struggled with your spouse about finances, then this book would really help you out.
