What is the Mimijumi Very Hungry Bottle?:
The Very Hungry Bottle from Mimijumi was designed with input from mothers, doctors and lactation experts, in order to best meet the needs of both mother and baby. The one-piece, easy-to-attach nipple, snap-off cap and no-skid bottom make it possible to prepare a bottle with just one hand. The nipple's shape, color and gradual texture change towards the tip are designed to mimic mother's breast, creating a more natural tactile experience for baby. And, the integrated venting system prevents colic, and the convenient, leak-proof cap protects against dust.
The Very Hungry Baby Set Includes:
- 8 oz. (240 ml) bottle
- 1 cap - 1 nipple (slow flow rate)
- 1 bottle care and use guide (instructions)
- 1 no-skid bottom
My Review:
With the Mimijumi baby bottle, now your little one can begin to be weened off of breastfeeding and introduced to a baby bottle with little to no fuss, thanks to its unique nipple shape of a breast. The breast-shaped nipple creates a natural experience for breastfed babies, as well as babies that don't like regular bottles.
The Mimijumi bottle is 100% BPA-free and easy to use and clean. And, best of all, you can prevent gas or spit up seen in many children, due to the fast flow of liquids. With the screw on nipple, this bottle creates a slower flow rate perfect for babies with sensitive tummies.
Even though I am no longer breastfeeding Savannah, she is picky when it comes to bottles she likes. We have a few Born Free and slow-flowing bottles that she prefers over others. I wasn't sure how she would react to this new bottle, but she loved it. She seemed to consume a larger amount of formula with the Mimijumi bottle, and didn't show any colicky side effects from air consumption or too fast fluid flow. I couldn't believe how real the nipple on this bottle felt. And, with the skin toned color, it really helps to make a child feel soothed and think they are feeding on a mother's breast.
If your child is transitioning to a bottle from breast, then I highly recommend the Mimijumi bottle to ease the transition. Or, if you are looking for the perfect baby shower gift or gift for new moms, this would be a great item to pick up and give.
