Instantpeel Natural Exfoliant Review -- Great At-Home Spa Treatment for Busy Moms/Wives for V-Day!

Product Description:

"The Instantpeel Natural Exfoliant is one of the most exciting, powerful yet gentle products on the market that is polluted with goods that promise beauty heaven, but deliver just a big price tag. This peel sticks to its promises, for a fraction of the money one would spend in a beauty salon. Instantpeel is easy to use while taking a shower. it is amazing how smoothly dead skin peels off without irritating healthy skin layers. After the short treatment, the skin feels soft and silky with a radiant complexion. I highly recommend Instantpeel to every one who desires younger and healthier looking facial skin."

My Review:

Like I have said in previous posts, I have sensitive skin, so I am cautious with what I use on it, as most products cause redness and irritations.  This product was supposed to be hypoallergenic and perfect for sensitive skin like mine.  So, I decided to try it out and share my review with you all.

After reading from other product testers that it was best to use this in the shower, I decided to try it this way.  After steaming in the shower for 5 minutes, I applied the Instantpeel exfoliant.  I could feel and see it was doing its job of removing dead skin cells, as the dead skin just flaked right off.  After I got out of the shower and dried off, I felt my skin.  The
Instantpeel exfoliant did what it said it would do.  It left behind a more youthful and healthier feeling skin.

I love how you are able to get 6 single-use packets in a box, as I have tried other facial products in the past and ended up tossing half the bottle.  Overall, this is a great product for sensitive skin, that can provide you with a salon quality facial  in the privacy of your own home.  And, having a baby at home, I love how I can pamper my skin while showering in only 5 minutes-- now, that is multi-tasking.

BUY NOW:

Click here to buy directly from the manufacturer's website, Earthen.  A box of 6 packets will run you $50.00,and should last a month or longer, depending on your skin type and frequency of use -- it is still cheaper than a spa/salon visit.

Glycolic Acid Skin Peel Review -- From the Natural Skin Shop

Disclosure:  This is sponsored post, however all views shared are mine and mine alone.

Due to my sensitive skin, I usually shy away from expensive skin care products, as they seem to dry out my skin.  I have heard that you don’t have to pay top dollar to get the same results from over the counter skin regime products.  So, I have been sticking with Oil of Olay products for years, as this brand seems to keep my skin moisturized, without drying it out or causing red, irritated skin.  But, last month, I was invited to try out a chemical peel from the Natural Skin Shop.  Because of my sensitive skin, and having never had a chemical peel, I was reluctant at first, but decided to give it a try.

I ended up ordering the Glycolic 20% light peel kit, which included the Glycolic 10% Daily Exfoliator 2oz, Glycolic 20% Peel 2oz & Hyaluronic Moisturizer 1oz (valued at $68.00).  I chose this strength level, as it stated on the Natural Skin Shop website that this peel kit is best suited for younger skin, as well as a good choice for beginners, not used to chemical peels.  And, it is gentle enough to be used on a weekly basis.

The Natural Skin Shop’s website stated that the results would include:

  •          Minimal irritation with no down time.
  •          Firms and tones the skin, helps build tolerance.
  •          Removes dull skin and restores healthy glow.

When I first received the kit, I was intimidated, as it included a box of gauze pads.  I thought to myself, “Hospitals use gauze pads for burns and treatment of skin irritants – Do I really want to try this out?”  But, after reading through positive reviews on the Natural Skin Shop’s website, as well as reviews from other bloggers who swear by this kit, I decided to try it out.  And, I am happy that I did.  It lived up to the positive reviews I had read.

The steps were easy:

      1.     Wash skin with transparent gel cleanser.
      2.     Remove sebum mantle with pre-peel or alcohol.
3.     Apply peel to skin and leave on for designated time.
4.     Rinse peel from skin with tepid water for at least 1 minute.

They suggest that you perform a peel every 1-2 weeks for best results, and when you stop seeing results, you should consider switching to a higher percentage.

Surprisingly, after the initial chemical peel, my face didn’t appear red or irritated, and there was no dryness or flaking afterwards.  The 100% Hyaluronic Moisturizer included in the kit was oil free, and seemed to just sink into the skin, locking in the moisture.  Also, included in the kit was the Glycolic 10% exfoliator, which is to be used for daily treatments.  To play it safe, I have been using it every 2-3 days to maintain fresh skin.  It has been 3 weeks since I started using the kit, and my skin is feeling tighter and softer.  There is no redness, irritation or dry flaky skin.
All in all, this was a very positive experience despite my reluctance to try it out when I first saw the gauze pad box.  I was impressed by the selection of products the Natural Skin Shop has to offer.   And, the customer service department is extremely helpful, as I called them to see which peel would be good for my skin type.  I highly recommend this kit and the other products that the Natural Skin Shop has to offer.  If you are looking to improve the look and feel of your skin, without paying ridiculous prices, make the Natural Skin Shop your first stop.  You will not be disappointed.

Here is some additional information taken from the Natural Skin Shop that details Glycolic Acid and the skin peels further:

Glycolic Acid, what it is and ingredients:

http://www.naturalskinshop.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/nss_gline.gif
Glycolic Acid is a natural product derived from sugar cane and is fantastic for exfoliation and moisturizing of the skin. It is the smallest alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) and is both colorless and odorless. Probably due to the fact that all skin types benefit from Glycolic Acid - it is the most commonly recognized chemical peel solution.

How Glycolic Acid Works:

Dermatologists and estheticians have been utilizing glycolic acid as an effective and proven tool in the fight against the aging process for decades. Alpha hydroxy acid peels, such as Glycolic help to reveal a younger, healthier looking skin by stimulating collagen and elastin growth, and accelerating the skin renewal process. Additionally, Glycolic Acid can be combined with other peeling agents, such as Salicylic Acid (this process is referred to as an Alpha-Beta Peel) for enhanced results.

Glycolic acid for at-home use:

The average cost for an in-office Glycolic Acid Peel is $125. This can add up as, on average, you will need 6-8 peels before you start to see results. Glycolic Acid Peels can be done at home using the same products with the same strengths used by professionals but at a much reduced price.

Glycolic acid peel kits:

When deciding to do an at home Glycolic Acid Peel you should do your research. If its your first time make sure to use a lower strength. Natural Skin Shop has kits ranging from 20% light strength all the way up to the 70% maximum strength.

Using Glyolic Acid Peel Kits rather than just the medical grade chemical peel itself is also a wise choice. Kits have been put together to provide the best overall results and the quickest healing time. Applying a organic face peel can produce dramatic results - shedding dead, damaged cells and replacing them with new, softer skin for a more even skin tone and youthful appearance. To perform a treatment that will fully enhance the natural turnover process, you must also treat the skin during the "downtime", otherwise known as the period between peels.

Glycolic acid targets:

·          Fine lines and wrinkles
·          Sun-damaged skin
·          Dull, dry complexion
·          Uneven skin tone

Glycolic acid has also been beneficial in improving dry skin, treating age spots, decreasing facial lines, and rejuvenating the skin's surface. Dermatologists and estheticians have been utilizing glycolic acid as an effective and proven tool in the fight against the aging process.
